Me again. ??

I know it sounds unbelievable, but it seems like the site is working fine today. No multiple login requests. Just speedy action. I’m breathing a sigh of relief for now. No idea if I changed anything or prodded anything into working… but… maybe I should just hush and not jinx it.

Another thought, if you’re wanting a page to only be visible to a select few people, try password protecting it. Then just send those folks the password.

Or, if it’s a page, put the page under a private page. IE.

>> Review One
>> Review Two

You can send members the individual link, but the top page (that’s private) won’t automatically show in lists. Depending on the plugin, you might need to exclude the page too.

Where did you change the URL? In the WordPress options area?

I’ve used a rating plugin before that only allowed one vote per person. There were a few options on how to determine “a person.” I used the IP address option. It looks like you’re using widgets. Depending on which one, I think you can change the wording (from categories to whatever you wish) when you enable the widget.

The way the default categories widget works, if you don’t give it a title, it defaults to the word categories. So go into the widget and give it a title.

I checked again. More like poked around until I found where it said to disable cookies for that site. Seriously have no idea how that happened, but it’s a computer…which usually remains a mystery to me. ??

I can login… again. Yay. It still logs me out after an action and asks me to log back in.

When I log back in, the action I previously asked of it has been completed. Which, at least, is progress, but very slow progress.

I’m beginning to wonder if this has to do with another error I’ve seen a lot recently: WordPress database error: [MySQL server has gone away]

I killed the cookies for the site. Not in the list of cookies anymore. However, wordpress seems to think that cookies are turned off, even though I double checked and it says to “allow cookies.”

I’m using FF3. On IE, it lets me login… but when I click anything, nothing happens.

Very strange… normally I have zero problems with wordpress. Maybe it just doesn’t like me today. :\
