Question for you – what is the purpose of the “Mobile Sharebar” tab in the admin?

I thought it was to configure the sharebar for mobile devices? And the design seems very well suited for a mobile device. But considering the new option is called “Hide in mobile device”, I presume that’s not the case.

With that in mind, I tested that option out, and indeed, it does work! When checked, it hides the bar on my mobile phone. However, being a “Mobile Sharebar”, I think I was expecting the opposite – like “Hide on desktop”. In other words, default to show on mobile and have option to hide on desktop (and/or tablet – not sure about that one???)

On another note. . .

I tested the same feature on the floating sharebar, and it does hide it on mobile. But I discovered that if you resize the browser on the desktop to a mobile size (I do this when testing the site for responsiveness), it disappears as expected, but when I resize larger, the icon does not come back. I have to refresh the page to get the icons to reappear.

On that same tab, I noticed a really super cool feature – called “Minimize when screen width is less than”. But when I tried it out, it didn’t seem to be working.

I’ll keep testing.

Also, this is a live site – so changing the theme would really be problematic.

Can this be reopened? I responded via email but I never heard anything back from anyone.

I had asked if it was safe to do that because I have spent a lot of time customizing the theme that I have, which is GeneratePress. I do not want to risk losing my work.

That said, I do not see an option to select the Shop page from the Widget area. The only way I have been able to configure a replacement is on the Shop page itself.

That’s the issue – the code noted above actually is not in the template anywhere. It is being added automatically when published to eBay.

I will try making the setting change you suggested (i.e. Shortcode Processing). That sounds reasonable – it could be that those icons are being inserted onto the page as a shortcode (I simply checked a checkbox to include them on pages below posts).

Definitely worth a shot!

In the interim, I’m going to try adding a CSS rule to hide the parent div via the Stylesheet panel on the Template Editor.

So, until such time that I am in a position to upgrade, it sounds like I will have to manually update the eBay listing after I create it inside WP to enable best offers. Assuming that won’t cause a problem.

Also, according to that feature comparison chart, it looks like if something sales on eBay (or if something sells on WooCommerce), then will not be able to sync those changes with the other platform (i.e. eBay, WooCommerce) – manually or automatically. In that scenario, I would have to end the listing, and then decrease the quantity, manually.

Is my understanding correct on all point?
