In reply to: Stopping YouTube embed related videosYes, this is good confirmation of what I read somewhere else. Thanks. I’d prefer to turn them off altogether though! It seems to be a common sentiment.

In reply to: Stopping YouTube embed related videosOK. Does anyone know why Google did this; there were some comments it was to make more money through more exposure. If so, it seems a bit trite considering how much money pours into their coffers each day. I guess it means in due course people will get fed up and shift to other platforms.

In reply to: Stopping YouTube embed related videosThanks for your feedback. I’m kind of hoping the WordPress community comes up with a workaround for this. I looked around online and there are quite a few people upset with Google due to this.

In reply to: Stopping YouTube embed related videosThanks, but this how-to is out of date, Google has since disabled this option.

In reply to: [MailPoet Newsletters (Previous)] MailPoet won’t openThanks, instead of enabling WordPress debug mode I installed Query Monitor and have endless data available on what is going on with my site. However, I haven’t a clue how to identify from all this data what is causing the problems. Can you give me some direction, or ask me to give you some info which can be analysed? As you probably can tell I’m not a coder or WP expert.

In reply to: [Hueman] Can’t log in to my Hueman theme siteThanks. I’ve referred your suggestions to my hosting service. Until such time as I can regain access, this enquiry is not resolved.
After a lot of to-ing and fro-ing with this support area and with my hosting service, I got fed up and deleted the newsletter entirely. And then created a new one. And now the editing works.
So clearly bugs get into MailPoet from time to time and cause havoc. Bit of time-waster.It looks like us non-Premium customers don’t get much attention any more.
If by chance someone from MailPoet fronts up to this enquiry sometime, they should know that with regard to this enquiry that:
any kind of formatting, i.e. changing text from paragraph to heading or the other way round, then the page closes and opens in a ‘Page not found: 404 error’ on my site.In the meantime I’ll see if MailChimp or someone can help me with this newsletter.
I also deactivated, deleted and then reinstalled MailPoet.
And also duplicated the newsletter to start afresh.
Neither of these workedI disabled all the plugins (except MailPoet); newsletter still won’t save.
I switched theme to twenty-fifteen; newsletter still won’t save.Thanks. Do you mean disable all plugins — except MailPoet?

In reply to: [Hueman] How to centre widget in footerYou could try to set up a non-Gmail account. Your message “You can’t use a Gmail address if you’re not sending from Gmail” is pretty specific.
Also, the solution I had was to deactivate and delete MailPoet, and then reinstall it. It seems to reset any quirks and worked for me.
