I tried that one out but it meant that I had to rebuild the post layout from scratch, and couldn’t keep the pagination function.
What I am going with for the moment is using the category description bar with an additional plugin to enable more flexibility! (https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/how-to-display-your-wordpress-category-description-in-your-theme/)
It’s not the full functionality of a page but it will help.
