In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryYou’re right it’s not my intention to debug (note I did already ask for support and described it above). I’ve moved on from Generate Press.
I’m sure your preview pages are in good shape, but my demo page wasn’t, sorry to say. I added the demo and this issue came up on google within weeks. In terms of other links, here’s another one about the theme not having mobile friendly issues out the box:

I don’t recall changing the font and padding etc until after I found this issue, but even then, that shouldn’t cause this issue. The pages look and appear perfectly fine, its just that google thinks otherwise, and I cant have a website that google thinks there is an issue.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryI already made a support ticket several months ago. The advice was simply to reduce the number of resources my site loads or try a caching plugin like autoptimize.
However, this didn’t work. I disabled every single plugin and downloaded autoptimize, but it still got the same error for months.
To be honest, this is like my 20th website. I have used every major theme there is.
Generate Press was the only theme that caused this failed google mobile test.
….
I made this review because I spent weeks (maybe months) wasting time on this theme building my site. I dont care about the $50 cost of the theme. I care about the lost hours building the site and lost revenue from crappy SEO caused by failed mobile test. I have to redo everything on this site with my new theme.
….My advice to everyone reading is this:
Do not believe google has ‘false positives’ or that google’s mobile-friendly warnings don’t mean much. They surely do.
If your website isn’t focused solely on PPC, then SEO is probably your number one priority. Do you honestly believe that major from warnings from Google about your site, in particular, should be ignored? I would suggest not.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryI don’t have woocommerce. The only plugins I have are Elementor and Elemtor pro.
Autoptimze does nothing.
Here are the diagnostics straight from google:

Page is not mobile friendly
This page can be difficult to use on a mobile device
Fix the following 2 issues
Clickable elements too close together
Text too small to readForum: Reviews
In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryI mean Generate Press is the only theme I have ever gotten the errors: “Content wider than screen”, “Clickable elements too close together” or “Text too small to read”.
Something is very wrong and there is no solution offered except try autoptimize.
Not a good idea to ignore this. “Mobile friendly” is a massive SEO factor.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryWhat have you shown? You linked to an ad. Many many people have complained on this forum about Generate Press’s failure on the Google mobile-friendly test. Not a coincidence.
Your code is a mess. The exact same content on a different theme does not fail the Google mobile-friendly test.
I tried switching themes, and haza, it passes the test.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryI tried your support and your advice was to reactivate automotmize.
Your theme is broken.

In reply to: [GeneratePress] SorryNot true. Your “help” was to suggest to download autooptimize.
The theme is NOT mobile friendly. No other theme I have ever used has this error. I use the same plugins on all my other blogs and I tried to troubleshoot the issue by disabling plugins but still getting the issue!
of course I know the test grom google! Thats how I diagnosed the problem!

In reply to: [AMP] ErrorIts not the Simple Author Box. I tested it.
It might be the “Facebook easy share” plugin, that I have now deleted.
However, the biggest problem I am facing is that the AMP Validator says there are no issues, but the Google Search Console says there is an issue: “Tag found outside the document head which is only allowed as a direct child of the document head”.
Also, when I enter my posts from google on mobile, it isn’t displaying amp, but regular. I want it to show amp. It used to show amp, but not in the last week.
Thanks.
