    Any news on this? We’re about to go live with the website and it would be nice if this was fixed, or identified where it comes from.

    Thanks and sorry to bump and push…

    It was working before updating your plugin.

    Nevertheless I switched to the 2012, 2014 and the 2016 theme. All have the same problem.

    See the 2016 theme here
    And the actual theme here

    It’s a little better on the 2016 theme. Still what it should and what it actually displays is also wrong on the 2016 theme. But much worse on the actual theme.

    TBH, I will roll back tonight on a local copy of the website and see what happens. Hoping this will fix the problem and then roll back on the site that has to go live this week.

    Edit: I rolled back and now it’s weird.
    It shows 18 products on page 1 and 20 products on page 2.

    At a loss here. Any help would be really appreciated!

    I was confused as well in the beginning.

    You can find the customizer when you look at your websites frontend when logged in. Not in the dashboard. It should be in the admin bar at the top of the page, right next to your websites name. It should read “customize”.

    Once you click on there you will get a side panel where you should find the “Products Archive” tab. Click on that and there are the settings.

    Sorry for double post… Somehow wordepress.org was budging up or my internet connection. I will close this one.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    Indeed she has non-uniform thumbnails. I told her that and she will fix it over time.

    I do appreciate a lot that you are listening to the community and improving your product based on the input. And don’t worry about the ETA. I found a solution and the main purpose for writing here was sharing the solution.

    In other words: It’s good we talked about it ?? Please mark the thread as “resolved” as I don’t seem to be able to do it myself.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your answer. I have figured that out with setting the columns to 0. That’s where I came back here and edited my post and added my comment about not being able to bulk edit, or overwrite many galleries at once.

    About the core issue, imagine you have a wide page design but still only want to show 4 or 5 thumbnails per row.

    I mean it works now

    But I had to add:

    /* ****** NEXT GEN GALLERY ****** */
    /* Fix NextGen Gallery row display ... */
    .ngg-galleryoverview {
      clear: none !important;
      max-width: 960px;
    }

    Just another day in CSS-paradise ?? And please don’t get me wrong, NextGEN Gallery is still one of the best gallery plugin out there!

    Thanks for replying.

    I am aware that this is open source. And I am aware that you don’t get paid. I do appreciate the work people put into their plugins they release here for free for us to use. I thanked you for the plugin. I made the issue reproducible, which takes time too. I my view, as a designer, NOT a programmer, I did everything I could to resolve the issue.

    One thing I totally disagree is that you now say I was unwilling to help. I was not unwilling. I sat down for a while and tried to figure out what you meant. I read up on the issue and tried fixing it. Which at the end brought me back to pinging you again. And btw. to start with I had to ping you via your website to get an initial take from you.

    But hey, it’s your choice to expose yourself with your plugins and I am sorry if you can’t take it. Reading between the lines on other threads on your plugin I can see that you are fed up with assisting people and I do get that from an initial enthusiastic release such a plugin can become a burden.

    I’ll close the ticket an leave you in peace. Maybe I can find someone else that is able to have a go and I will gladly forward the result to you in case we’re able to fix it.

    Thanks again!

    Sorry but I don’t get it.
    – You write this plugin.
    – I have a problem with it.
    – You say it’s a bug in your code.
    – You tell me to fix it myself.
    – I can’t do it since I am not savvy enough at coding.

    Then you put the topic to “resolved”…

    What am I missing?

    I admit, I wasn’t begging you with sugar on top and I apologize for this. It’s just that I am a little critical when it comes to the attitude of some programmers that release plugins on this website and then abandon it with no support. In other words, I might have over reacted a little by asking if you abandoned support for this plugin. But telling me to fix your product myself when you declare my issue as a bug triggered this.

    Back to the real issue. Since I am not able to fix it myself, are you willing to figure it out or did you mean that my issue only occurs in my setup and it has nothing to do with your code?

    In this case I would agree that I am on my own since this is freeware.

    Thanks for your answer. I’ve tried to figure it out. But I am not a programmer. I am at a loss here…

    Since you identified it as bugs, is there anything you can do? Of have you abandoned the support on this?

    I like resolved tickets. So closing this one ??

    Thanks again for taking the time.

    Hi Adrian,

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    1. I guess Envato was initially a good idea. Turns out it’s run by business people and not real human beings. I don’t know of any other platform that would be fair. From years of working in the music industry I saw the same thing happen to bands when they released their albums with a record label, big or small, greed is everywhere. I’ve seen bands prosper when they started selling their products directly. So the only thing I can truly suggest is to install woocommerce (or alike) and hook it up with PayPal to sell directly. People can now put their credit card behind PayPal and all is fine and easy.

    2. The framework thing is not a big issue. But might scare people to go for your product. Since it’s working fine using shortcodes, you could skip it and use the Visual Composer integration as a selling point for the PRO version.

    3. As for the link to your website. It’s when I click on the Author information on the WP plugins page where it reads ” MOEWE (by Adrian M?rchen)”. Or click on “View Details” on the same page then again on “Author”.

    4. The thing is that on iOS it doesn’t scroll between the two versions when I hold my finger down and slide it from left to right on the image. I have to tap the image or use the slider below. Which is fine. Being able to slide could be another PRO feature ??

    5. WOW. Now that I see your website I see tons of options to work with your plugin. Cooooool! Thanks!

    Sorry for taking time to get back to you.

    For some magic reason it actually really works now. I didn’t change anything. Just updates et. al.

    Thanks for assisting me on this one!

    Thank you for looking into this.

    I did change the image size but I also did regenerate the thumbnails. Zoom magnifier does not work on the entire image.

    Here: https://dev02.fullframestudios.ch/Produkt/armagnac-vieille-reserve/

    Funny enough, if you add the first bottle of wine twice to the cart, on the second click a page comes up where the zoom magnifier works. This is when the wine is sold out. Unfortunately I can’t post the link here. You will have to go and add it twice to your the cart to see it for yourselves.

    I am at a loss here… Any help/hint/direction is appreciated at this point.

    Thanks!

    Update: I changed the image to be square, which is tedious, we’ll have to change about 2000 images prior to uploading. Although that kinda fixed the problem, there has to be another solution for this…

    And on top of that with the square image in place another issue comes up. It seems the style for the yith_magnifier_mousetrap has an offset of about 100 pixels. Meaning I can’t magnify the upper half of the image.

    Is that theme related? Could you please have a quick look at my site and tell me what’s going on?

    Thanks in advance!

    I second that. Thanks!
