This plugin does NOT generate thumbnails. Why not add it manually? I think you need to create a custom plugin or find another one that will fit your needs.

Why don’t you give a try and see how it works?
It will not add new images into the gallery form of the WP admin page, it will only download all external images when the post/page displays. All the images will be saved into wp-content\uploads folder of your site and in the posts, all external URLs of all images will get replaced after it will get downloaded. So first time when the page loads with external images it will take a while, and after that the page will load very fast. The plugin does not edit your posts.
Will not generate thumbnails. But the idea is good, maybe I will implement this later.

So the reply is for that plugin, not for this. But you can combine them together so they will work in tandem. That plugin with the link I proved above: will download external images, and this plugin will resize the images.

You need to test if it works for you, I am not going to test all scenarios available so it will fits everyone need because I don’t have that much time, but you can give me feedback about what features are you interested so I can improve the plugin or to create another one for a specific task.

Ok, I understand your point but if you don’t believe me then if you want you can ask some PHP programmer or a WordPress plugin developer if a plugin or php code CAN generate a “connection to database failed” error. As I know it is not possible that my plugin to break anything. Thanks for your feedback, have a nice day.

I increased the maximum number of posts that can be generated, from 1000 to 2000, and it took 1 minute and 20 seconds to generate 2000 posts ( on my PC: quad core CPU 2.6Ghz + SSD ).

I can’t replicate, I do not get any errors. Tried on Linux server and Windows.

“connection to database failed” error has nothing to do with the plugin, more like a server problem, maybe a bad hosting provider. If your server is limited to some requests per second, or minute – this error could be shown.

What error do you get? Can not replicate…

for me it shows Version 5.4, but i see here version 1.0, I think I use a older version with a higher number ??

Yeah I can move to the right the tabs only for RTL…
The Quick Start tab is the only tab here that shows the current panel. There are no other settings.

and you want the tabs to be in the right, or what modifications I need to do so the layout will look good?

But why to remove author slug?
It is nice to have site.com/author/admin, not site.com/admin… u can create a page template for this.

and why to remove post format?
You can create a category or a tag with the name of the post format you want…
