Are you using code snippet plugin? It might be possible that you have added a function in code snippet and in functions.php both and it might be throwing error because functions should have unique name.

these strings are definitely located in the GD PO file.

I would recommend you open the original PO file from a fresh download and use that to generate your translation file – because the most likely issue is that the strings were not included.

if you write back with a URL we can check the console for an error, or you can check it yourself. There could be a JS error on the page preventing load.

You can try OpenStreetMap, too, if it is just a Google issue.
