Plugins are one of the main reasons for sites to become slow, so of course, it’s possible for a plugin to slow down a site.

I have disabled emojis through my functions.php instead. And as I already said, this is probably a good plugin for most people, but my combination of plugins/theme/server did not work well, which is why I gave the plugin 3 stars and not 1.

I have the same issue, no thumbnail field showing and it’s activated in screen settings.

@ahiaruhe i think this is caused by your filenames, i have the same issue apparently + ( ) and characters like ? ? ? not allowed in filenames anymore.

Agreed – having same problem. Not only umlauts also (, ), ?, ?, ? and + in filenames causes this.
