I contacted WPML support to get an overview about the translatability of the plugin, this is what came out: Link

I thought this information might be useful in case you want to make the plugin fully compatible with WPML.

However, I still couldn’t translate the filters/categories, in case you have any useful tips I would be grateful,

Thanks for the support and sorry for the response delay, the problem was not inherent to the plugin, but to hardcoded translations in the function.php file.
I apologize for the inconvenience and congratulate you for the great plugin.
