In reply to: Users submit a url to database? (not a post)Thank you Larsen, I will check out those plugins!
I did come across Gravity, so I’ll look into that, and try the Ninja Forms too.
Best,
DaxI will take a look on how to do that, thank you!
Hi,
Thanks for such a quick response. Sorry, but by “test default install” of WordPress, do you mean just set it back to the original default theme? Because as far as installation itself this was just a one-click install. I have only added some plugins (still deactivated) and that’s it so far. Thanks again
Wow, thank you for that information. I couldn’t find that anywhere, not even in the Twitter faq! That makes a huge difference as I thought things were broken.
I thought the Twitter cards with summary-large image showed the image by default. Maybe there’s an plugin that will ad the other feature.
Great, thank you again for the help!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Issue with sidebar dropping in IEHi again,
I seem to have at least temporarily fixed the issue. I’ve been combing over all the code, but something I read about posts and widths made me try something.
I limited the number of posts, and for whatever reason, the two posts removed allowed the bar to go back to it’s proper spot? I don’t understand enough about coding yet to fix this, but at least it doesn’t look “broken” at the moment. And I looked at the demo site for Newp, and they have more posts without issue, so I don’t know how I broke anything (widgets?)
Still could use some tips, but thought I’d share in case anyone else is having the issue and this might be a quick fix for them.
thanks
Sorry, that was in my earlier post. But yes, I have been whitelisted, and if you use the validator it says it’s fine.
But I’ve seen cards with the image in the timeline on by default, like this:
https://twitter.com/badassdigestBut then other articles give conflicting information on whether this is the default summary/large image card? That is what I need, the image displayed on the timeline, not having to click “summary” to show it. (if any of that makes sense?)
Thanks again!
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Not posting to Facebook or TwitterThanks, I got things generally working last night. I had misunderstood what some articles were saying about the posting, and realized it wasn’t WordPress SEO.
Great plugin, thank you!
Thanks, I just got it working last night.
At this point I’m not even sure what did it, but I stripped all plugins out (all), then added WordPress SEO, then activated Jetpack publicize. Seems like most things are ok.I’m still a little confused as to why images aren’t showing on Twitter summary with large image cards, as I see lots of other blogs with the image appearing by default.
Thanks for checking into this, great plugin!
Am I missing the edit button?
Well, this is definitely odd. Trying to troubleshoot this myself is a mess, and for some reason, the new test I did to Facebook worked. The only thing I have changed is disconnecting Twitter then reconnecting it. Posted something new, and it showed the correct image.
What’s weird is the post right before it still has the wrong image?
My new issue is tied to this. I disconnected and reconnected Twitter because I am Whitelisted for Summary Large Image cards, and my Twitter posts do not show ANY image. I am using Featured Images in my posts, so not sure what’s wrong?
I have not activated any other social media plugins, so this still seems like Jetpack/Publicize. If there is another plugin that allows me to post to Facebook and Twitter with the proper cards, I’m open.
Sorry, forgot to add the Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/beyondhungerdomeI did see on the earlier posts I could “refresh share attachment” which updated the pictures (yay). But the latest post “testing..” has the wrong image, and there isn’t even a refresh option there.
Thanks again
