I have checked the code and there is an issue with how the result of $wpdb->query() interpreted.
For update queries, there will be no result if no rows were affected. That may happen if you re-save quiz options without any changes.

Also getting message with Error Code 0007 when trying to save quiz created in 3.1.1 when using version 3.2.2.
