    Hi Bet, of course!

    As it seems, several things happened simultaneously.

    First, and most important, it seems that my Mac keyboard (compact version) has some issues between apostrophes, accent marks and quotes. I typed something wrong when adding the initial line. Finally I copied and pasted the line in the example, and it did work ??

    Then, during my multiple trials I did not deactivate the plugins at the right moment. As it seems, this affects the activation of the network menu. If you have the same issue as me, take a deep breath and follow the steps one by one.

    Finally, my ISP (1&1.es) seems to be working with some internal caching, then any change I did to my files took about 10 minutes to go live for the initial network setup. Cleaning my local history and cache did not help at all… I just had to wait (a bit longer).

    I must say, once the change is active at the ISP all WP updates are immediate, indeed (as they have to, with PHP).

    Hahaha I think I am going to cry… This I made also myself. config.php was not updated… Now it works. I can create my subdomains.

    Thanks again… closing this thread (and opening the next one) ??

    So painful!

    instead of
    define( ‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true );

    I wrote
    define( ‘WP_ALLOW_MULTISITE’, true );

    As it seems, quotation marks are different (?). OK, now I can see the Network Admin menu… thanks everybody for the help, anyway.

    Now, I get the message that the network was detected and that I have to delete the entries from the database???

    Hi there,

    I added that line, and uploaded the file to the server. I did this several times. Today, I cleaned the browser cache (and history, cookies…) but without result. Network admin menu is still not visible anywhere… ??
