Here is what the developer of “TM Extra Options” (one of the most sold and highly rated plugins for woocommerce) said about your statement:

Well, that is completely wrong to be honest and it is easily test-able by anyone. Just disable the plugin and try the same process and see if you get different results.
The plugin doesn’t affect the csv process at all.

    So its your turn again

    Hi Kristarella
could you meanwhile find out if my idea was correct about the wrong character?

    Kind regards axel

May i please have an answer to my last question?

    Beside that:
    here is a screencast.
It shows the import-result in an fresh installation without any plugins:

    Once more:
The Issue says: “Double or invalid SKUS”

Which SKUS are invalid or double?
    I dont see any.

You could test an import but you cant test an update?

It must be valid since it was EXPORTED FROM Woocommerce.
I already tested it with your samples (see my other threads)

1: They do have but they are made via options with “TM Extra options” plugin
2: the error is not about eventually missing attributes – its about “invalid or double SKUs”

    Hi Phil
    like i said before….
    1: importing is no problem
    2: UPDATING is the problem

Please try to import, then edit something unimportant like the description and try to update.

Then you will see the issue

If i dont set the SKU for the parent the variations will not be created since “they dont know” to wich parent they belong. Correct?

Yes, the parents need the SKU to be set.

So what happens if i set the SKU for the parent and i have a plugin for auto-SKU installed??
Does the plugin takes the parent-SKU to generate the SKUs for the variations?

    and for the IDs:
Shell i leave this column blank when creating my CSV?

    Hi
i already have a working CSV sample.
I created the first 5 products manully and then exported a CSV – so i got one that fits my needs.

    Questions:
1: What happens if i set IDs in my CSV? Will wordpress ignore/skip them or will it throw out errors?
2: If i use a plugin for generating SKUs ….i can leave the SKU column blank but i have to set the SKU for the parent. Correct??
3: If i dont set the SKU for the parent the variations will not be created since “they dont know” to wich parent they belong. Correct?

    And one last message:
The error occurs only when i try to update my products (checkbox “Update exiting products” is checked)

If i delete all products and import them from the same CSV i dont get any errors

Ok i am a step further.
I edited the SKUs manualy but now i ran into another issue.

Importer says “double or invalid SKUs” – but i checked several times now and there are none.

    Skus ar unique.
Sku values for column AG always shows the the SKU for the parent product for every variation.

I am completely stucked now and help would be very much appreciated.

Could someone plase have look into my CSV?

    Importer-Error:

Quadrat, ID 22692, Artikelnummer 00004: Ungültige oder doppelte Artikelnummer.

    here are two screenshots

2: This one shows the result after it has been opened

I found the reason but not the solution

    Reason:
    – I got three products with SKUs like this: 00001
    – If i open it with libre-office the sheet shows “1” instead of “00001”
    – When i reimport it throws out the error mentioned in my first post.

I tried a lot to tell my Libre to handle “00001” as text but it didnt work.
I can change the settings when the sheet is open but i would like to set it in a way so that it opens in a correct way.

Do you know a solution for it?

    kind regards axel

Hi Con and thanx for helping
as i am not very firm in PHP i would like to step back i bit to clearify possible misunderstandings on my end.

1: The product XY has the tags “india, asia, landscape” assigned to it.
2: On the products page i want to echo only these tags – not all tags of all products

    Question 1:
What is the correct function to do that?
    get_tag(), get_tag_link(), get_tags(), get_the_tag_list(), get_the_tags(), the_tags()

    Question 2:
I would like to get them echoed as links (linking to the tag of the tag-archive) under the short-description.
What is the correct template-part to do that?

    Hi
i have no idea what you want to tell me with that JQuery-Stuff. Sorry – i am not very confident with JS.

I did empty the cache and disabled the WP Super Cache bot no Popup.
But i definitely cant swap to another theme cause this site is our productive-website and i cant afford to let our customers see a foobared website.
Second reason: Moving to another theme alway leads into loosing some settings or widgets….
