I’ve also noticed this on a few sites using different themes.

I think I’ve fixed it. I’m not saying it is the best solution but for now it works.

In plugins/the-events-calendar/lib/the-events-calendar.class.php find the call to the function maybeAddEventTitle (around line 185) and comment out the line.

I started out with the twenty eleven theme but it is heavily edited. I tried changing the template but that didn’t seem to solve the issue.

Thanks for getting back to me. Here is the link to the events calendar.

If you select a tag from the tag cloud at the bottom of the sidebar it leaves the events slug in the url. Any ideas?
