Thanks for your reply. I have just checked, and if I have read things correctly then all the domain1 files are in /public_html/, the sub-domain (domain2) files are held in /public_html/example1.org.

I have used domain1, 2 & 3 by way of illustrating things and the Index files currently exist as follows:

    My main domain: /public_html/index.htm
    domain2: /public_html/domain2.org/index.htm
My current WordPress installation is on domain2, and is found at:
    domain2: /public_html/domain2.org/blog/index.php

So are you suggesting that so long as there is no other index.php file in the new sub-domain (domain3), then it would be ok to point the auto install of WP towards /public_html/domain3.org.uk ? Or have I totally misunderstood everything?

I apologise in advance for any lack of understanding on my part.

    Thanks again,

    Alan
