Is this ever going to get fixed? It has gotten worse with 2.1.2!
I had success putting PayPal buttons in 2.0.4 using the html mode (carefully), but now in 2.1.2 even the code editor destroys the hidden form field default contents when the page is saved. They are there when the page is opened, and they can be edited in rich text or in code mode, but when the page is saved they get stripped out. This should be fixed, it is a bug in the editor saving code (apparently).
To work around it I use PhpMyAdmin to edit the database table row directly, but this is not very convenient and has some other risks.
