In reply to: WP 2.0-RC2 is upI may have jumped the gun by posting so quickly. But then it’s been a while….though I’d rather been playing tourist on that tiny island nation myself. ??

In reply to: opera 9 write new post WP2.0RC1FWIU, the capability for Opera to use a WYSIWYG editor is a new feature for Opera 9 beta. And for it to work, the WYSIWYG developers will have to add Opera 9 as a recognizable user of the feature. My guess is this won’t happen until Opera 9 is actually released.
BTW, I love the Opera browser and will probably make it my default browser once version 9 is out.
Here’s an Opera link of interest: https://weblog.timaltman.com/opera/

In reply to: WP 2.0 RC1 Upgrade FeedbackMy “Plugins” page returns a few errors. I’m unable to activate the “WordPress Database Backup” utility. I’m using php5 and the error is in line 90 of /wp-admin/plugins.php with the message: “in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument.”

In reply to: RC1 and IEThe only thing I’ve noticed is the text in the Dashboard doesn’t display within the white background region unless it’s highlighted with your mouse. And even then it’s splotchy.
The drag and drop is working now….that’s great news. ??

In reply to: Inserting Image Into PostAnother problem is it doesn’t work at all using IE6. Opera works…so does Firefox, but IE doesn’t allow drag and drop.

In reply to: Semantic Publishing ???You’re not alone. I’ve never understood what “semantic” meant in terms of computer software. Maybe someone can explain what it means to WordPress?

In reply to: New WordPress Support Forums! (Unofficial)A long while back someone started an “unofficial WP forum” using vBulletin but it eventually went 404 for lack of interest. This may have been the thread that announced it. The link wasn’t scrubbed away by the good folks of WP back then so I doubt a conspiracy over it now. ??

In reply to: Not in compliance with COPPA (federal law)Simple fix — don’t allow anyone who is 13 or under to post a reply on your site. Just state in the comment section that those who comment must be over the age of 13. Problem solved. ??

In reply to: 1.5.1.1 Changed filesBTW, for those using IE 6.0, I’ve added (
* html .wrap { height: 1%; }
) to the wp-admin.css file. I’m no expert with CSS but it seems to make the text in the Dashboard actually display.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Upgrade 1.5 > 1.5.1Mgrace74, it looks like you have an empty index.html file. Check to make sure because an index.htm/l file probably has greater precedence on your server than an index.php file. And if you do, just delete it.

In reply to: Kubrick graphics ported to FireworksMy site has some of the Binary Bansai look and all its images were created in Fireworks MX 2004.
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Why using Kubrick on 1.3 is a mistakeOT: My three simple layout images were created in Fireworks–header, background, and footer.
Update: four images…..forgot the background for the feedback class.Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Why using Kubrick on 1.3 is a mistakeMy apologies for going off topic. IMO, something along the lines of the binarybonsai would be quite appealing for the default look of WP.
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Why using Kubrick on 1.3 is a mistakeRoot, that’s it. Those changes (including the header and footer divs) would tweak the template for most anything. I’m no expert at CSS but a third div for a third column would be nice too.
I’m sure there’s a rational explanation for not having the credits in the “rap” but I have yet to figure that one out. ??
Don’t get discouraged root…..your templates are probably what precipitated the desire for change.
BTW, I admit I got some of my site ideas from binarybansia…but only the visual….not the code.
