There are no docs and the only mod/dev response has been to encourage us to wait for a third party to write a tutorial. The hooks they added in to various places are largely useless as they exist b/c of the js and a lack of documentation.
As this thread is being drowned in the flood of joy over 3.5, I felt the need to post my complaints in other venues in the hopes that it draws some attention.
