In reply to: i’m doing it wrong using 2 Stylesheet files?Yay! thanks a lot. This is exactly what i was looking for!
Can’t wait until 6p.m. to start coding again.Pd: As Spanish guy, in the world we live you have no option to survive if you dont (at least) understand english.
There’s a huge bunch of information aviable and most of the times this information comes in english.
At the present time, skipping information just because you don’t understand it, it’s a huge fail.
Do you guys remember how to do when you wanted to learn something before “The Internet”?
Isn’t fantastic that today we are in a some kind of “global mind sharing” where the limits of every single person are their own imagination?anyway, thanks a lot for the reply!

In reply to: i’m doing it wrong using 2 Stylesheet files?Hi Esmi! Long time no see!
Thank you for the reply. Now i’ll use two stylesheets without regreting.
ehhrmm.. Another little question:
Wich way is the correct one to call a new stylesheet?the one i’m using is puting this:
‘<link rel=”stylesheet” href=”/wp-content/themes/The Box 2.0/style_single.css” type=”text/css” media=”screen” />’
at the top of the “single.php”It seems to run ok, but as i said, if i left empty that “single-style.css” it seems to still using the latest css atributes i used before in the index.php with his style.css.
Is there any way to call the new stylesheet and even do a global reset of styles before loading the new page?
is this question silly enough? ??Again. Thanks in advance!
My new portofolio is at 70% atm ^^PD: my apologies for the huge content of my posts. Keep in mind that i’m Spanish, and i’m doing my best to write in a way that i can understand and others can, too… (or i hope they do)
hugs!

In reply to: My book blogHi Threethings!
I’ve been watching your site and maybe i have some comments that could help you.The Mess:
Usually while visiting webpages i like to see its content well organized and pretty clear.
What i miss about your site is exactlly that.
At the top there is a huge banner (too big in my opinion, cuz you’ll force laptop users to scroll down to start seeing content)
After that, The Menu:* Home
* Affiliates & Links
* Banners & Avatars
* Contact
* T-Shirts
* Top 5 Books
* SiteWait! that is too messy!
The webpage is about book reviews but in the main menu there are more references to design (banners, avatars, t-shirts) than the book thingies.
Also doesnt understand that order.
Usually “contact” and “affiliates/links” are the last items of a menu.
At least i attempt to always put them at the last places because if a user wants to just quickly log in my site, and contact me he will find always the contact tab at the last place of the menu.ALso there are some grafical glitches that should be repaired.
but for now and to start talking to you, in my opinion the whole site is too messy.I think you should to sit and think about the content you wanna display and the most important thing: “how you are going to display it”
In other words: If you wanna a book review blog. Make it be a book review blog at 100%
Exclude the design part because it has nothing to do with book reviewing unless those t-shirt are designs from books.In example: I am a graphic designer and i made a portofolio webpage, ok. But i also like to cook but i’m not going to mix cook recipes and design in my portofolio because i think that the targets who are interested in recipes doesnt want to see my designs and viceversa…
hope we could exchange more opinions!
best wishes!Forum: Your WordPress

In reply to: Understanding the concept of Pages!Good Morning!
Wow thanks for all the help.
Finally i understood the hierarchy, and also found that in_category thingie that will be probably the key for the hardest part of the job.I will check this last link also, At the moment im following a huge tutorial that explains how to create themes from zero, explaining the meaning of every single command.
Anyway. Thanks for your time! Hope i will come up with something to show soon!

In reply to: Understanding the concept of Pages!Tags!! What i understand as “subcategory” is a tag! I’m i wrong?
I think it start to make sense… And pages are used to host non”blog-post” style content such as “about” or “contact” or whatever!
Hope im starting to understand it ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
