Hello @kjwhe6
It looks like you are using another plugin to change the default WordPress login URL, try to disable it on the staging site (by renaming the plugin’s folder to something else via FTP) then add “/wp-login.php” to the end of the staging site’s URL and you should be able to log in from there. If this doesn’t work, please share your site’s system information from (WP STAGING > System Info) via this form, and we will help you further from there.
Thanks,
AlaaHi @lewallin
Creating a staging site shouldn’t affect the live site at all. What do you mean by “separate URL”? A subdirectory or a subdomain? Are you using the free version or the Pro one? Please send us your site’s system information via this form, along with the answer to the above questions, and we will help you further from there.
Thanks,
AlaaI checked the logs files and can see the backup process went successfully, you should be able to restore this backup file without any issue, try to create a new backup and let me know if you encountered this issue again.
Thanks,
AlaaHi @beaucroft
Please reach out to us via this form using the email address you purchased WP STAGING PRO plugin with, we will help you further from there because we can only provide support for the free version here on the forums as per the forums rules. Thanks,
AlaaHi @one8co
I checked the logs and can tell the backup was created successfully, if you encountered this issue again, please let us know for further investigation. Also, try to create a new backup and see if you can reproduce this issue or not.
Thanks,
AlaaHi @london0001
Having multiple WordPress sites on the same subscription is not supported by Elementor Cloud, so you won’t be able to create a staging site from a website hosted there at this moment.
For more information about WP STAGING plugin compatibility with Elementor Cloud, please check this article. Thanks,
AlaaHi @paul0li
It’s possible that your server may be hitting a resource limit, such as disk space, the maximum number of files (inodes), or even a database storage limit. I recommend reaching out to your hosting provider to confirm that none of these limits are close to being reached.
Additionally, could you please send us your site’s system information? You can find it under (WP STAGING > System Info). Once you have it, submit it through this form, and we’ll assist you further from there.
Thanks,
AlaaConnect to your staging site via FTP, and add this code snippet to the .htaccess file:
https://wp-staging.com/docs/activate-permalinks-staging-site/#Apache_Web_ServerOf course adjust it to have your staging folder name, and in case this doesn’t work, share with us your system info from (WP STAGING > System Info) via this form, and we will help you further from there.
Thanks,
Alaa@christargroups this redirection issue can be fixed following this guide:
https://wp-staging.com/docs/activate-permalinks-staging-site/I’ve also replied to your email, let’s follow up there for more details please.
Hi @designspvce
Thanks for your interest in WP STAGING PRO!We only provide yearly subscriptions for now. For any further pre-sales questions, please use this form, as we are allowed to provide support for the free version only here on the forums.
Thanks,
AlaaHi @nv24
Based on the logs you shared, I can see you have two issues:
- Memory related issue, please try to follow this guide to resolve it.
- “open_basedir restriction in effect.” this needs to be reported to your hosting provider, I’ll share more details about this one by replying to your email, so let’s follow up there.
Thanks,
AlaaHi @pypto
We support WP-CLI commands in WP STAGING PRO, mainly focusing on the backups feature, take a look at them here:
https://wp-staging.com/docs/wp_cli-commands-for-wp-staging/
At the moment, we don’t have a specific WP-CLI command for resetting a staging site. Could you share a bit more about your use case? Understanding how you’d like to use this feature will allow us to communicate it effectively to our development team for potential future consideration.
We are currently in the process of refactoring the staging creation, so in the near future we might be able to provide a CLI command or an API call to reset a staging site automatically by using an external action.
Thanks,
Alaa
