We never recommend making any changes to the core plugin files because when you update the plugin, you’re changes would be lost.
If you need assistance with speeding up the site, you can do things like adding expires headers, removing query strings from static resources, optimizing your images and even using cropped images as well.

Did you mean through a lightbox of sort? Our free version of the plugin doesn’t include a lightbox script but it’s possible another free lightbox plugin may pick up on the slider items to do this for you.

Envira doesn’t allow you to create a gallery while on a post or page unless you were to use the Dynamic Gallery Addon but you can easily create single image galleries.

I’m very sorry for any trouble. Have you tried enabling debug to see what the error is (from the wp-config.php)?
Can you confirm you’re running at a minimum PHP Version 5.6 and MySQL 5.6?

All of the demos listed on our demos page is for our pro version.
Envira Lite is almost identical with a few exceptions on what you can set in your settings and on your images (captions, margins etc).
Was there a specific demo you were wanting to see?

You can of course choose the cancel the subscription at any time through your account or through our support. That doesn’t mean your galleries or albums will stop working. It just means that you would no longer receive the updates for the plugins (bug fixes, enhancements etc), the ability to download any addons from your Envira Account >> Downloads tab or support.

I apologize you feel that way! This form of communication is reserved for the Envira Lite however. If you would like to log into your Envira account to open up a support ticket to request a refund you can certainly do that as well.

I’m happy to answer any questions for you. I’m going to list out each question to make sure I’ve not missed answering anything for you! ??
1. I can tell you that to specify mobile dimensions (different from the desktop view) that is only available with the premium version of the plugin and not the free version. You can specify mobile specific image dimensions on the premium version that would be used for tablets and mobile devices.
2. Yes, however if you have enabled cropping on the gallery – it will start with that cropped image size and responsively resize the images as needed to fit the column count and the device width. You can easily change this with CSS if you wanted all galleries to be 1 column at 600px using custom CSS and a media query. If you need any assistance there, feel free to reach out to support and we’d be happy to help you with the CSS needed.
3. Absolutely! You can use custom CSS to change any area of the gallery with the exception to the columns (if using automatic) and the image size (if using cropped images).

Our lead developer is also a photographer and both of our devs have been working very hard to enhance your experience as an Envira user. Obviously not all the options can be added and implemented at 1 time but they are working on adding new enhancements and features with every new update.
We do crop the lightbox thumbnails yes. I can certainly bring this to our developers attention so it’s something they consider in the future but we believe that cropping provides the best solution currently to meet all of our various types of users (so it doesn’t load the full size images for every lightbox thumbnail).
But thanks again for your feedback! It really does mean a lot to us (and I promise I’m not just saying that)! ??
