    Thank you Mike.

It seems that all plugins are good, except…the error comes from the payment gateway Paypal Advanced. I switched back to Paypal Standard and we can accept payments again.

Time to get on the phone with Paypal and see what’s going on.

Thank you, I will try that.

    Thanks DW.

I’m working with the developer by email now. I had their plugin off. They had me change WP_DEBUG to true. I activated their plugin and immediately the site went down again. Called HostGator (my web host), and they deactivated all plugins. This allowed me back into the backend, where I have a slew of errors popping up. Also downloaded the error log from CPanel.

Went back in and activated all of my plugins except for this one, and I’m good to go…just cannot activate this plugin again or the site will go down.

To answer #4, I was busy this morning uploaded products into WooCommerce. I was midway through uploading pictures of a product when the site went down. I did not manually update any plugins, but WordPress, Woocommerce, and some plugins update automatically, so I’m thinking maybe that happened.

The plugin is “Pay Your Price”. The developer of that plugin fixed it on my plugin, and will roll out the fix in their next update.

Big problem now. I logged out of admin to see if logging back in fixed anything. However, now I can’t get anything except for a blank white screen!

If I go to my site: originalgraphictees.com/admin it converts to https://www.originalgraphictees.com/wp-admin/

That is just a blank white screen! I have no way of logging back into the WP admin.

Anybody know how to fix this?!

From all of my searching/reading/trial and error. This seems to be one of the most difficult things to do in Woocommerce, but should be one of the easiest. We can upload high quality images, but no matter if we size them up or down, they get blurry. It really is quite a hassle managing product images, which again, is one of the most important parts of selling something online.

Whether it’s Woocommerce, or the themes at fault here, I’m not sure… but regardless, it’s quite difficult to size pictures how you want them. And this isn’t just me seeing this. There are countless folks on the internet looking for assistance with this. It’s quite frustrating.

Resolved. It was a plugin that affected everything. With that plugin disabled, everything works how it should. Thank you!

    @mike and @chrishills

I’m well aware that each variation needs a price. I’ve made the mistake before (while first starting to load products), forgetting to add a price (when I was just playing around with 2 or 3 variations). Those kind of mistakes is how I learned all of this. Trial and error!

We sell all of the same shirt at the same price. Doesn’t matter what color or what size. I wonder if I’m using the variations wrong them? I’m so new to this that the only way I know how to add a t-shirt with multiple gender/size/color is to do a variation for each option. I simply load each attribute with the desired test (small, med, large for example), then link all variations (which creates 50 – 90 of them). Then I use the bulk “set price” feature to set the price for all of them to be $18.

Is there a better/correct way to do this, or am I doing it correctly?

I also “sort of” fixed my problem last night and this morning. I assumed that maybe hidden in the latest update this issue got fixed. But anyway decided to activate my plug ins one by one, throughout the day, and constantly check my store to see if everything was working. I started having issues again shortly after activating the “Pay Your Price” plugin that I have installed. Disabled it, and everything works. Spent this morning also enabling it and disabling it, and getting the same results.

So it seems that was causing my problem. BUT!!!!

It doesn’t cause the problem for EVERY product. Just most of them. And to make matters worse sometimes I disable the plugin, things work again, and then when I activate the plugin, an item that didn’t work last time I activated the plugin does work this time, but everything else I try doesn’t work.

I have a strong “need” to find out why this is happening like this, as I see computers as mechanical machines that should act the same all of the time given the same instructions (activating a plugin that breaks thinks should always break things), but at the same time I need to invest time into loading more shirts into our store.

So I think I’m going to disable that plugin, monitor to make sure everything is working, and then just mark this resolved (blaming that plugin).

Thanks for all of the input folks.

    @chris

P.S…you weren’t saying I should go in and set the price manually for all 70 variations were you? I’m assuming the correct way to do it is in bulk.

    Thread Starter AKOGTS

    (@akogts)

    @chris,

I am using the “bulk upload” feature for the price. That is, I link all variations, lets say there are 70 variations, then I choose to VARIATIONS tab (the one under ATTRIBUTES), and in the drop down select “SELECT REGULAR PRICES”.

Again, I load products into the back end in the same exact way, so all should be the same.

Lastly… to make this even more difficult to figure out… it seems like everything is working now! I wanted to try something within the variation, so went to a product to make sure it wouldn’t work (price wouldn’t show). But it worked. I know that product was working this morning even after deceiving all plugins. So, tried another, then another. All of them are working now as they should! (very confused, but happy, but upset because I don’t know what the clear cut fix is).

Does it maybe take a while for the plugins to stop working after they are deactivated? I would think it would be instantaneous off, but I don’t know.

    Mike,

Thank you for your help thus far, btw.

I think the other 2 individuals here might have a different problem than what I’m having.

I have deactivated ALL of the plugins as you recommended. The only plugin currently active is Woocommerce.

I have found a new bit of interesting info while doing this. Unfortunately this new piece of info is the same whether plugs are active or not active at all, so I don’t believe it can be attributed to any plugin.

Some of the products ARE showing the price all of the time (price does not disappear). But most aren’t.

To keep things simple, if you look at the SHOP OUR DESIGNS menus > select SPORTS > select SCUBA…. you will be left with 2 shirts in that category.

The WORKOUT TO FIT IN WETSUIT (left shirt) works perfect. Pick any variation and the price always stay at $18, right above the variations. Doesn’t move, doesn’t disappear. Pick your variations and the ADD TO CART button shows up. $18 is still listed above variations. (this is exactly what I want).
    https://www.originalgraphictees.com/product/i-work-out-for-scuba/

The QUARRY DIVER (right shirt) does not work. Shows $18 above the variations, but once you start picking variations, the $18 disappears and doesn’t reappear at all.

I only know one way of uploading the shirts, so both shirts were uploaded the exact same way, and I do not see anything different between the 2. Obviously I’m missing something, but what?

Does anything jump out at you Mike? Both shirts were uploaded after the update (btw). I have found a few shirts that work as they should. Both loaded into the site prior to the update, and post the update.

Would it help if I provided you my admin info so you could have a look (I don’t know if that’s asking too much).

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks chrishills. Glad I’m not the only one concerned about this. Hopefully they can get it figured out and resolved asap.

Mike, any word on this issue?

    Thread Starter AKOGTS

    (@akogts)

    Mike,

I switched to the “Make” theme, and then the “Storefront” theme.

With both themes (and the Mystile that I run), when you start selecting your variations, the price of the product disappears off of the page.

Is there a way this can be fixed? Prior to the update this was not happening. Every variation has the $18.00 price when looking at it on the backend.

Here’s what I tried and what I found out through some trial and error.

I picked a shirt (Chicago Skyline Tee). Changed the Mens/Small/White variation to be $15.00 (leaving all other variations at $18.00). THIS FIXED SOMETHING. When I pick any variation now, the $18.00 price that is listed above the variations on the product page disappears, but REAPPEARS next to the ADD TO CART button once I’ve chosen the variation. All of the variations show the $18.00 price now (next to the ADD TO CART BUTTON), and the one I changed to $15.00 shows at $15.00. That’s good! The clients can see the price when they click ADD TO CART.

When I went back in, and changed the MENS/SMALL/WHITE back to $18, well… back to the same issue. No variation shows the price anymore.

Click on the links below to see what I mean.

The “Chicago Skyline” tee will display a price when you pick your variations (because I changed just 1 variation (Mens/Small/White) to be $15.00 and left all the others at $18.00):

    https://www.originalgraphictees.com/product/chicago-skyline-flag/

The “My Kind of Town” tee has all the variations set at $18 and does not show any price next to the add cart button once the variations are chosen:

I hope all of this makes sense!

    Mike, I’m not sure.

Is there an easy way to change themes without ruining anything? Again, I’m rather new to this and have spent a considerable amount of time over the last 2 months “programming” our website to get to this point (where we are finally loading in our t-shirt designs and going live by Sept 1st). This update and these issues are the last thing I needed right now with all of the effort we’ve put in to get to the point we can finally load up shirts.

Thus, if I change themes to see if this happens in other themes, can I go back to Mystile WITHOUT any issues at all? That is, will EVERYTHING I’ve done in Mystile go back to the exact same way it was?

What’s my process to do this?

On a side note, I’ve just read and witnessed the necessity to have a mirror site to “work” on and have as backup. Would you mind explaining or sharing a link you recommend for the best tutorial on setting this up?

    Thank you.

    (@akogts)

Angelleye: Yes, I ran the updater. When I woke up yesterday morning, all of the items I had loaded showed FREE. Ran the updater, and it resolved the issue so the pricing is there.

BUT…the issues in question is to the price disappearing at a later time.

If you’d like to check it out, click on this shirt, and select your Gender/Size/Color.

When you first click on the shirt, you will see it shows $18. The moment you start clicking on the variations, say GENDER, the price disappears, and doesn’t come back. If I choose my gender/size/color, I no longer see a price and I don’t know if the price changed (pretending I’m a client, and sometimes prices change if you got to a 2XL for example). I only then see the price again if I add it to my cart and then go into the cart to see how much it was.

    Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for the link Mike. I do not believe I have any variations missing (from what I have checked so far), so I don’t believe I have that problem now. I’m running the Mystile theme btw. Any idea if that theme has had any issues with this update that I’m unaware of as of yet?
