I have checked our theme latest version Version: 1.9.6 , its working fine at our end.
You are using an older version of the theme. Pls update theme with latest version.
And also use spciebox plugin to set up home page data .

WE have added unique header plugin support bz with the help of this plugin we can add specific header banner image on specific page.
If you want custom header feature ,pls post your query on support forum. we can enable for the user. If any client demand this.
