Would it be possible for you to either post a link or send me one via the contact form info on the plugin’s site where I can see the difficulties you’re having with positioning? That’s not the intended behavior, so something’s definitely funky.
The extra space is actually intentional (it’s a &nbps;?) and I’ll remove it with the next version, giving you an option instead.
