I see that for example chrome gives a 404 error for https://www.weddingphotographer-costablanca.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/cropped-Logo-Sheri-2024-low-res-1.png

but when I go via cpanel into that folder, I do see the file there! So that makes me think that other 404’s could also be present.

Same for https://www.weddingphotographer-costablanca.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/7IR5298-768×511-1.jpg – when I navigate to the uploads folder for april of 2024, I see the file there

Also https://www.weddingphotographer-costablanca.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Export-slideshow253.jpg files is there but chrome gives 404.

Could this have something to do with timeouts/throttling byTSO Hosting? Or could it be that the images aren’t loading over https? I did have SSL certificate issues which I thought were resolved

Wow,..thanks for showing me that. I don’t know how this could happen. It seems tso decided to delete some files ‘for me’ to free up space.

Could I install a fresh wordpress and install the theme again? Will that make things work correctly? I don’t want to loose all the blogposts I made and all the indexed content over the past 10years

Hi @bcworkz thanks for that. Yes I wanted to avoid having to plough through hundreds of pages. In the end I set the search results to display 100 results so I could scroll easy through them. I manually selected the inages attached to portfolio 1 and then put them in a separate folder.

So in the end plain old fashioned manual work. A filter would have been nice.

Hi @gappiah and @threadi a little update (spoiler: problem still persists):

I ran the SMTP setup again and got the welcome email from the plugin (Welcome to WP Mail SMTP). The test mail sent does not land in my inbox, any contact form sends send successfully but are not received in the inbox.

The email host says: ,,well, all other emails land in your inbox so it is a wordpress problem.” I guess he has a point in stating that, so it narrows the search area down to only WordPress.

I will try the support page of the plugin developer but I guess a reply can take a while. EDIT: developer will only support the pro version, not the free version

@threadi I installed the plugin and sent an email. The plugin states SUCCESSFUL The email hoster says: if other emails come it, it must be a wordpress thing.

Any other suggestions maybe? Thank you

Hi @gappiah, apologies, I mentioned “But for some reason the emails sent from contact form do not land in my inbox or junk/spam,..they are floating around somewhere.” and expected that was clear enough, but to be clear: no I do not receive any emails from the contact form.

On point 2 you mention there is a bogus mx record. I am not following reason being we receive normal emails all day long it is just the contact form from the website that is not sending the messages. Would you suggest I remove the MX record?

SEO-Search appearance – content types – page – SEO Title

and it seems to already have a little purple block there called PAGE.
