Please allow me to apologize for my delayed response. Long story short I was without Internet access for a little while. Have you been able to resolve your problem as of yet?

In reply to: WordPress layout changed all of a sudden! No problem. I think style.css would be my first guess. Especially if it looked like the Finex theme and turned into a simpler looking website. Is it possible more was deleted than just what was added for the one element? Are you doing the modifications to a child theme or just the original installed Finex theme?

In reply to: [VRYN Restaurant] home place widgets on the right sideAre you looking next to the navigation at the top or something like that? In this theme I am only seeing the option to add widgets in the footer area.

In reply to: WordPress layout changed all of a sudden!Hello,
Forgive me, I’m trying to understand. The second link provided with the screenshot is your site? And the problem stemmed from adding a <div> where a phone number can be entered along with some CSS. This was then removed which gave you the layout problem. But you’re also saying the info is still there unchanged? You mean the info you tried to delete.

In reply to: WordPress layout changed all of a sudden!Hello,
Can you by any chance provide what the site looked like before and after? Or maybe the URL of your site and the code you removed?

In reply to: [VRYN Restaurant] home place widgets on the right sideCan I ask where exactly you’re looking to place this widget?
No problem at all. I just wanted to make sure this is what you meant. If you go to your dashboard on the left hand side, go to Themes, then on your Themes go to Theme details, there will be an option to go to Menus to add, remove, and edit the content of the tabs on your site. And like you said you wanted “Contact us”, “Directions”, “Materials we accept” tabs. You can add those as new pages first by going to Pages, then Add New. Those can then be added as tabs by again going to Menus under the Appearance in your WordPress Dashboard. I hope this helps. If I can be of any further assistance, please ask.

Forgive me if I’m not understanding correctly, but do you just mean you would like more tabs at the top navigation of the menu?
You should be able to change/override some of the theme’s default CSS by creating a child theme of Fifteen. Just from looking in Firebug, I see a <div> with an id=”header-2″ that does not look like it is being utilized and is just taking up space. I could be wrong. The <div> with the id=”content” has a top margin of 55 pixels that can maybe be reduced or even removed. I changed these two in Firebug and the space between logo and content div is minimal. I hope this is relevant to your problem and helps you out.
