check out the category visibility plugin for an easier solution…just install this plugin, make a “music” category and make the posts from that category not show up on the main page. It’ll take 5 minutes, 10 minutes max even if you’re not familiar with wp all that much.

mainly use a seperate/test blog installed on the same server as my main blog, but is not visible to most people.

EDIT: Forgot to add that if it is just a minor change then I will normally go ahead and do it on the main blog.

I’m new here and I may be giving you wrong information, so if I am I hope that someone will point it out to me…but I think you would just need to put “/%postname%” and leave out the .html extension. I don’t believe that you can have (and I know you don’t need) a .html extension on post pages.

Again, I might be wrong, but I think that will work for you.

BTW, is there a reason why you would need to use the .html extension?
