New to VPN tech?
Hi?@ajaxstardust?,?
the link doesn’t load, and shows an error “The image cannot be displayed because it contains errors.”?Thanks for the screenshot, it looks like imgur access isn’t friendly with a VPN.I didn’t understand this part. Could you please provide us with more details to help us know what you mean by “New to VPN tech?”
@eri32s98
A person involved in this forum might be expected to know that the use of VPN affects whether content is delivered. It’s kind of alarming, considering you represent #JetpackMakes me wonder of the quality of information provided here. I don’t see that there’s value in seeking help. This is simple, due diligence.
In other words: problem detected > problem reported.

??My dear friend, the “wheel is reinvented” everyday.
I believe I’ve heard of something called “Full Site Editing” introduced into the core of an otherwise perfectly fine CMS. Hmm… whose bright idea was it to reinvent that wheel? LOL.rhetorical question
noun- A question to which no answer is expected, often used for rhetorical effect.
Cheers!

In reply to: Slow website after update to WordPress 6.3If the sluggish 6.3 is really driving you nuts, as it is me, you might try this sort of approach. Use a text editor capable of wrapping text with custom code. Works for me:

In reply to: Slow website after update to WordPress 6.3Same here. Not front end “SEO” b.s.
In my case, it’s the block editor. Trying to edit an existing post, or even authoring anew. It’s ridiculously slow since 6.3. I’m considering resorting to copy/ paste the code to a desktop editor just to complete the composition. I feel like i’m on Win 98 with 2GB of memory (while on Win 11 w/ 32GB). It’s just too much. Monitor your CPU/ Memory (your browser has a task manager for that as well). Move the cursor in the block editor. You’ll see the spikes. Too much javascript striving for the magical. Tone it down a bit. 6.2 seemed pretty good.will try the recommendation

In reply to: [upPrev] upPrev Stopped FunctioningStrange. The Simple/ Advanced configuration option was not there when I first re-installed/ activated upPrev, but it’s there now. I set to Advanced mode, changed some settings. upPrev works as I desire now.

In reply to: [YARPP - Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] YARPP – Disabled automaticallyHey, Jay!
Referencing this post, I see that a proper solution (or presentation of the problem) wasn’t stated here. I think it’s worth mentioning? that @jeffparker went out of his way to ensure the #YARPP was functioning correctly. He skillfully inspected the database tables and was able to debug the malfunction in one afternoon. I don’t think anyone can complain about that! Albeit, @jeffparker might have been trying to see if there was something wrong with his plugin. There was an issue/ error on my site causing #YARPP to malfunction, not the other way around. ??If you can share the following values from wp-config it would be helpful:
/** Database charset to use in creating database tables. */
define( ‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’ );
/** The database collate type. Don’t change this if in doubt. */
define( ‘DB_COLLATE’, ” );Indeed, the code was exactly as you suspected. the line in wp-config.php was formerly:
define('DB_COLLATE', 'utf8-general-ci');
I changed it to as you suggested, and everything started working again.
Cheers!
?I believe I maybe be experiencing a similar issue on a different site. I’ll have to investigate.- This reply was modified 1 year, 3 months ago by ajaxStardust. Reason: onsite link

In reply to: [upPrev] upPrev Stopped FunctioningHey there @iworks . Thanks for your prompt reply. I knew you did, I’ve just been too busy with other things to be in the forums etc.
#upPrev is deactivated at that site, currently, because it displayed only the “latest” post, and once you got there, if you clicked upPrev, you’re not going anywhere else. LOL.
Did you want me to do something with it? I do miss having it on there.

Please let me know what you need to see in terms of configuration so we can get to the bottom of it. I’ll be “here” the rest of the day, EST “business hours” at least.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [YARPP - Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] YARPP – Disabled automaticallyIn your YARPP settings, do you have “Automatic Display Options” set to show on this page type?
I believe so. I only disable the media type. It’s not a super complicated site.
But I’m beginning to recall. I think I need to change something in the configuration. I never could get it to work w/ a certain customization. Let me try a few things.
This is what I have at time of writing:
