In reply to: [Theme My Login] Theme my Login reCaptchaJeff, you asked why the user would want a captcha on the login form. Here’s one reason at least:
I currently can’t log into my website, because some **** spambot tried to do so using my username. My account has therefore been locked until tomorrow. If there’d been a reCAPTCHA on the login page, I guess this wouldn’t have happened …
Now I need to find out how to change my username, which WordPress tells me is unchangeable …

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Redirection on 'lost password'I’d already tried deactivating everything, to no avail … but …
When we started this, 6.2.3 was the stable version. I was waiting to see how 6.3 would fare. The verdict: 6.3.5 WORKS!
Thanks for the update – I do have a technical question on the new stable version, but will start another thread.

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Redirection on 'lost password'Hi Jeff.
Not only did I not create and assign it as a child page, there isn’t even a login page in my page list, let alone one called sample-page-login-out. That page has not been created and does not exist as far as I can see, unless it’s being held in TML’s code.
Obviously you know TML far better than I, and programming too for that matter. I’m hoping you have some idea what’s going on …
thanks

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Redirection on 'lost password'Hi Jeff. On the child-page issue …
I don’t know the consequence of having a child page as far as this issue is concerned (not trying to be flippant, I’m just not a full-time programmer and am in the dark – hence the cry for help!).
But I haven’t done anything actively to create a new page for TML (whether child or not), other than instal the sidebar widget as instructed.
And I don’t have a problem with any aspect of the TML plugin, other than the redirection for lost passwords. As I said previously, login, register, etc. all work fine.
I’m getting in touch to find out what’s going wrong with the redirection on the lost-password email, and to find out how to resolve it.
For what it’s worth, the login form is located on the homepage (obviously) …
the register form goes to https://www.MYDOMAIN.com/?action=register&instance=1 …
and the lost password form goes to https://www.MY DOMAIN.com/?action=lostpassword&instance=1.So, no sample-page stuff there. The problem only arises when a user completes the lost-password process, and the website emails them a link. It’s the link within that email which is the problem.
So …
1 – What’s gone wrong?
2 – What needs to be changed?
3 – How do I change it?Thank you!

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Redirection on 'lost password'Hi Jeff. I’m using the widget, so haven’t manually set up any specific pages for login etc.
As mentioned, login and register work just fine, and most of the lost-password process works too. It’s just the redirection from the email to the user.
I guess the problem would be resolved if the follow-up email provided the user with the right link. But I have no idea what the right link should be, or where to change it.
Your help much appreciated!
thanks, A

In reply to: [Theme My Login] Redirection on 'lost password'Thanks Jeff … I disabled all other plug-ins (apart from WP-Mail-SMTP, which is providing the mail function for me) … the result was still the same.
Interestingly, when I deleted the first part of the link, so that it read
https://www.MYDOMAIN.com/sample-page/log-in-out/?action=rp&key=PUo6yWQ0ge838mVzAXFm&login=NEWUSER
it still directed to an error page.Still rather perplexed here – any ideas?
thanks
