In reply to: [WP Ultimate Recipe] What happens if we embed the recipe into a post?thanks, but standalone recipes dont just work on my theme. so I have to insert them to posts.
plugin has great features, such as ingredient post types etc. but in the meantime, they also cause duplicate content as categories.
so I had to noindex them all. do you have a recommendation on that?
Hi HappyGezim,
Great to see such a prompt response.
And I loved the javascript idea.A few things;
1. Can you allow adding images for each of the Instructions and seperate each step?
2. Is it possible to post ingredients as custom post types to show up on google recipe searches?
3. Is the plugin recipe markup ready out of the box, even though we embed them in to the posts, which means do they show up on google as recipes with images?thanks

In reply to: [WP Ultimate Recipe] What happens if we embed the recipe into a post?here is my solution;
I noindex the recipes and post new posts and insert shortcode.
but the problem is, you cannot noindex the printer-friendly version.do you have a fix for that?

In reply to: [WP Ultimate Recipe] What happens if we embed the recipe into a post?I mean, since these are custom post types, they dont work just as fine as the regular posts; the related posts, sidebars etc.
this may cause duplicate content issue if you dont know what you are doing.
the metadata is included, I can see that from the page source, buy what I mean is does it act like a real recipe with markup if you embed them into posts? does it show up on google serps just as the real recipe?
I would like to see a real recipe plugin where you could insert your recipe into posts without generating a custom post type. but I guess this is not possible anymore.
my only concern is, no offence, but in the past, soem of the recipe plugins stole the recipes of people and served them from their own servers like they own them, and some of them sold the recipes to big brands.
I believe you don’t have that intention.
thanks

In reply to: [WP Ultimate Recipe] Standalone recipeswell the only thing it sucks with this plugin is that it creates a custom post type, not a regular post. so what you have to do is to embed the shortcode to posts to make a new post.
in this case, it generates duplicate content and duplicate recipes.
hence, I dont know if the recipe markup works just as fine if you embed it into a post.in my case, when I post a new recipe, no related posts, no sidebars etc. working for me.
here I opened a thread for this purpose:

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Linking with nofollow OK for ranking? Plugin says no!It is ok to use nofollow attribute for your affiliate links.
the only problem you are using the keywords as anchor text in those affiliate links that you need to rank for. since they are nofollow, they will not pass link juice, but they will benefit the product links you link to, since nofollow links also a minimum amount of juice.it is not recommended as a best practice. so try to use other words for anchors.

Awesome Tobias,
The best plugin support I have ever seen in this community.
I don’t know why WordPress team is still not hiring you for their developer team ??Hello Tobias
thanks again. have you figured out why the last rows did nt have borders?hello Tobias
Thanks for your support. I assume you saw my template page and the problem.Another question: Does tablepress support shortcodes? I want to replace shortcodes into the cells.
one more thing: will the css code you gave me above arrange the width of all the corresponding columns in a page, whether on the same table all successing tables. I mean you saw that page I have 4 tables for every week on one single page.
thanks
Hello Tobias,
actually ? am working on a draft so there is no online table.
but I can send you a screenshot if you give me your email address.one last thing is this css code does not put borders to header elements.
one more thing:
is there any chance to add a color picker to the table elements. I mean user will highlight one element, and the corresponding elements will also be highlighted so that the user will be able too see all same elements in a table. just like a color sorting attribute.Hello Tobias,
Thanks for the tip. It works fine but unfortunately it does not border the last elements of the table in a column. is there a way to cover that also?Thanks, it really worked.
