I get the same warning, tried to do the backup several times now, still the same warning.
Bit worried i can’t do any backups at all, cos it says ‘job done in 0 seconds’.
Any idea what might be wrong?

Unfortunately, i think i already messed up my database by trying out different ideas and proposals. ?? But well, that’s how you learn, right? Try and fail and try again. ??

Wrong manual? I followed this one:

Didn’t look that wrong to me. Was highly recommended. And much easier to understand than the WP CODEX thing. And i did use the search/replace tool, just only very carefully and only on the recommended part.

But you’re right, probably written by a backseat driver.
My fault. Will change it back and do it again with the wordpress Codex.

thanks a lot for your reply! yes, i followed every step from the manual. i didn’t use the search/replace tool though cos it wasn’t really recommended. i searched manually (took me a full day) and did all the changes.

And yes, i edited the wp-config.php and the htaccess as well.
Looks like this now:

i know this topic is untouched for several month now, i just found it during my research and i have exactly the same problem you described above!
I’ve been researching it on the web and posting the issue in several forums for 3 days now, but no help so far.
So frustrating ??

So i’m wondering if you could explain to me what exactly you did to fix the problem? What do you mean by ” I changed the code in wp-config and .htaccess to the updated paths and then had to go into the wp_blogs table in my database and change the path there as well.”

Yes, to be fair i was wondering why the english WP version only comes with the english language file, while the german version apparently brings along more language packages automatically with the installation.

Since i still need different languages for the blog i probably will delete everything and start from scratch with the german version.

Sorry i didn’t answer back. Well, but to be fair for a true beginner like me it’s just not solvable, so i gave up.
‘Installing language packs in the wordpress core’ is still a mystery to me, i have no idea how to do it, starting with where to get these language packs from and where to eventually put them.
I’m truly sorry! But as a true beginner i probably might have needed a step-by-step manual.

First you say i should “just install the language packs for the WordPress core” and now you say i should “Just change the language of the blogs”?

Under ‘Settings > General’ is no option to change language, there is only

Tagline:
E-mail Address:
Timezone:
Date Format:
Time Format:
Week Starts On:

I am really sorry for being such a true beginner at wordpress!

Hi Dennis!

Sorry to bother you again, but where do i find the german and russian language packs for the WordPress core? All i can find is how to CHANGE the language of my wordpress dashboard, but i don’t want to change the language (esepcially not the dashboard language) but simply add two more on order to run the multisite lan.switcher plugin?!
