Tried to set up the other plugin I’d bought while you were ‘away’ and just no good for our needs …your plugin is WAY ahead in ease, simplicity and speed of set up …so it’s your shipping plugin that we will be using again for our new site project!

I have the same experience that nothing is being responded to when sending in support tickets. JEM used to be excellent and usually replied withing a day or 2.

If JEM is still operating, it would be good to know – we all know that ‘life gets in the way’ sometimes and I’d understand that but just no communication is a bit of a no-no with plugins. One can’t afford to carry on using an abandoned plugin unfortunately.

Sorry for this slightly unrelated query but can anyone tell me HOW to stop receiving emails for all the posts and comments for this topic?? I AM UN-subscribed but I keep getting my email box flooded with the updates!

This is only happening with Wp All Import and has been happening for about 2 years plus. I have tried subscribing and then un-subscribing but it still doesn’t stop the emails coming in

Go to your widgets page and add the YITH widget to where you want it to go and hey-presto, it worked perfectly, right out of the box, giving a perfect sidebar woocommerce product categories menu.

You select the options of how you want the menu to work when you add the widget. eg. show sub-categories, etc

It’s a great plugin and so happy I found it ??

We will also need the vat field for orders …did you manage to add it @oblaum?

Adding this here to help anyone else – I couldn’t get the code right for adding ‘Canary Islands’ to shipping zones. An excellent support worker in woo livechat gave me this code and it worked a dream ??

It goes in your child theme’s functions.php
Add this code first and then go to shipping zones and add the Canary Islands there and it will get added.

Also, which I understand is VERY important for GDPR compliance, is a record of the date and types of cookie acceptance that every visitor chooses. If any site is regulated by GDPR police, there is no way other that we can prove they DID accept.

Or use JEM table rate plugin. It’s kept up to date and as good and useful as the Mangohour plugin used to be (which is not going to be updated – by googling it, it appears that maybe he ran out of money to keep his office going.

…however, having tried your plugin 2 days ago, I can say that it worked very nicely for the most part. I found it quite difficult to learn how to set it up and was sorry that there was no short video tutorial on how to do that, but once I had set it up, it worked nicely for the most part. The only part that was not good for us was the UK setup part (not able to dig deep enough to separate the 5 or so different shipping zones for UK) …but the developer has very kindly offered to look into this and provide the facility – so finger’s crossed!

@swoboda I installed your plugin and it’s almost very good, but it unfortunately falls down …here, for example:

In Uk, there is just one shipping rate for UK …whether it is mainland UK, scottish islands, scilly isles or northern ireland. The prices of shipping to each of these 4 locations have a very BIG difference …and although you can put in which postcodes you want, there are literally hundreds of them for uk … so that is useless.

I see you are Polish so maybe you don’t know the problems with our UK shipping. Our woocommerce site is for UK so we ABSOLUTELY NEED to be able to differentiate the 5 or so shipping areas.

The Mangohour plugin allowed each separate shipping area to be treated as a separate shipping cost.

…it’s a great pity because the rest of your plugin is use-able
