Still struggling with the backend of the site. It’s driving me absolutely insane. I could manage if it were Spanish or any language that uses a Latin alphabet but not so much with Chinese characters. I can only use Google translate for so long.

That was the very first thing I tried. The wp-config.phg file was already set to (‘WPLANG’, ”); but it’s still defaulting to Chinese characters. I’m wondering if since our client is hosting their own site, that their server may have some sort of language settings.

I was hoping the GB english file would just be a workaround instead of me bumbling through trying to update a theme that was all in Chinese characters!

Yes, those are the directions I followed when I created the new ‘languages’ folder and uploaded en_GB.mo. Still not working for some weird reason!
