    Hi again,

Not sure if this is what you wanted?

…I have noticed that just before the “History of your privacy settings” dialog window appear the dialog window is bigger than shrinks but I can never tell if there is any extra info that shows up there.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your replay and the explanation!

I was in contact with WP Engine and they tell me there is nothing blocking non-logged in from REST API. I also searched browser console for any 404 errors.

    Thanks!

Would it be possible to disable consent logging -functionality?
Am I right that this is not a requirement for staying GDPR compliant but instead considered a “good practice”?

    Thanks!

    Hi again,

I tried reproducing the issue at wpsandbox but here everything worked fine, no issue.
Then I tried something I had not yet tested which is accessing the “History of your privacy settings” -link while logged as admin (now back on my testing site at WP Engine) and this also works fine, however as soon as I logout and try the link as a public user there is the same issue as described earlier…this strongly makes me think that it’s WP Engine cache related (since there is no cache on admin users)
To be honest the “History of your privacy settings” -link is not something I was planning on using on our sites any way but it would be nice to have it resolved.

Below are health export from my testsite at WP Engine
    Thanks!

    Hi again Matthew,

I really appreciate your patience with all my questions.
However I just installed Real Cookie banner on a completely fresh/updated WordPress install and with no other plugins + default theme with the same result.
Everything works except “History of your privacy settings” -link (same as described above)

I certainly plan to purchase the pro version because I really need a go to solutions for several sites. However I just don’t want to find out it’s not compatible afterwards for some reason. So far I’m really impressed with Real Cookie Banner after trying lots of different plugins, the content blocker is brilliant! but not sure how to proceed now…is there anything I could try?
Do you know for sure that it’s compatible with WP Engine cache platform?

    Thanks!

    Hi Matthew,

Could I perhaps send a private link to the site somewhere? so you could try it out? ..I prefer not to send any public links.

    Thanks!

Yes, I can save consent and the cookie banner closes.
Everything else seems to be working and when I’m logged in as admin I can see that there is a consent log stored.
From what I can tell there only seems to be something wrong with the link to “History of your privacy settings”.

    Thanks!

    Yes, I understand.
However for some reason this does not work. This is from my testsite (while logged in as admin I can see the log of consents.)
But clicking the “History of your privacy settings” is empty

    Thank you,
I can see the log with consents there.
However I added the link to “History of your privacy settings” but it doesn’t seem to work.
I see how it’s supposed to work at your own homepage.
But on our page there is no “UUID” and no data just these two texts:
“Show consent from” “Not yet consented to” …but no data.
Do you have any idea why?

    Thanks!

    (@aggk)

Thank you for your patience with this!

But since we will not save any IP:s, is there really enough data stored to trace back and prove consent?

    Thanks!

    Thank you for explaining!

So what is the preferred way?
I have one analytics script that I normally place in the head.
and another script that includes a chatservice which I place in the footer.
From what I understand I can control these either by placing the scripts under different “Services” > “My service” > “Code executed on opt-in”
…or by using “Content blockers” that defines which URL/Elements to block ?

    Thanks!
