Thanks, that worked for removing the category.

How can I remove the link? I have it set in my Theme Options to NOT link to anything, and there’s no setting on the portfolio page itself that involves that.

These are my page settings:
Show Type? No, disabled
Show Excerpt? No, disabled
Show Lightbox? Yes, enabled

I really want the lightbox only, but for some reason the “Portfolio Grid Icon Link” setting in Theme Options doesn’t seem to be taking effect.

UPDATE: I solved the second problem by adding the snippet of code you provided on the Plugin’s homepage.

However, the first problem still persists: only the first image of the first tab loads. On all other tabs, the text shows (SiteOrigin Editor widget) but the image does not (SiteOrigin Masonry widget). Another example: https://pete.pdxezbiz.com/?page_id=13

Hi Hannah, I’ve done that.

I just double-check the image thumbnails in “MEDIA” to make sure they are correct, and they are.
My settings are as follows:
Standard Blog Post Summary Default > PORTRAIT
Image Blog Post Summary Default > PORTRAIT

I DO want a portrait image (the landscape options uses the full size of the image, which is way too big), but the portrait image automatically shows the center of the image, which I don’t want. For example, the second post “Freaky Friday Halloween Party,” I set the thumbnail to show the left side of the photo, but the portrait image automatically uses the center, so half the words show and half the pumpkin image shows.

Is there a way to edit which part of the photo shows up in the portrait image on the blog page?

Hey Kevin, that didn’t work either. So you know: the background image I have for desktops is large, cropped to make sure the man is fully on the left with at least 50% of gray space on the left for the “sidebar.” That exact photo will not work on mobile, unless the entire gray space on the left is cropped. The photo that I used for the mobile header IS cropped so that only the man shows on the mobile version. Not sure if that has anything to do with the solution but when I saw “background-position: left bottom;” I thought you were trying to simply move the current background image over, which won’t work…

Hm, doesn’t seem to be working. What I want is a single-page site to collect subscribers. I set the image as body background so that it remains the same size and remains in place, which works perfectly on desktop. Since it’s set as the background however, it doesn’t resize the way I want it to on mobile, so I sent the same image as the mobile header, but now I don’t need it as the background on mobile (so on mobile: 1) image 2) sidebar optin).

I know the ascend theme really isn’t made to be a single-page site, so is there a better way to achieve what I’m trying to do?
