This is no coding solution, you can use wp seo by yoast plugin to setup the redirect.

I have found easy stupid solution this problem. Create a dummy page then set the page to 301 redirect to anyway you want. Make sure your page is noindex. Link the dummy page to slider problem solve without coding. ??

Hello nikeo I already read the link you provided. I think the original question means, how could you link slider to category archive page. I have the same problem since slider can only link to a page or a post. My suggestion it is better if you set the option in slider setting to custom link rather than “Choose a linked page or post (among the last 100)”.
