In reply to: Editing Format of Posts Help! When I add the color: #…. it only makes the font color a light grey, not the actual the fill color inside the border.
Also, when I go to my style.css file, there is no padding:1em.
I added it and still no change.Any suggestions?

In reply to: How To Create A Template/Background?Is there anyway to create a background of my own, and then upload it to the theme editor.
I don’t want to change the theme, I want to change the background. I’m just wondering if there is software or a program I can use to do so.

In reply to: How To Create A Template/Background?I mean the overall theme for the website.
I have seen many templates out there, but I do not want to change the theme.
I was wondering how to possibly create my own custom template for WordPress?

In reply to: Admin Login IssueYes I did change the function to MD5. I read in the “Installation” forum and saw that several other people were having the same trouble..
I have installed and uninstalled WordPress about 5 times now and still this login issue.
I visited the link you sent me and the only other option is the “emergency reset” which I tried yesterday and it was unsuccessful.
There must be another issue if after trying 4 or so of the options off that link that each one has failed….
?????
I’m not sure if I should again delete the blog and delete all the folders/files from my public_html root folder or what??

In reply to: Admin Login IssueHello,
I followed the directions to reset the password using the “phpMyAdmin”
I deleted the numbers and letters next to the “user_pass” and entered in my new password.I then saved what I did and then tried to login with my new password. Again my password is “incorrect”
When I signed back into the “phpMyAdmin” and checked the password to make sure it was the new one I set, another long chain of letters and numbers were in place of the password I set.
Does anyone know why it keeps doing this? I am completely baffled??

In reply to: Admin Login IssueHello,
Yes I use Bluehost. I actually used the 5 Minute Install myself. I originally had the .com platform of wordpress and it seems since this weekend trying to go from the .com to the web-hosted version has been a nightmere.
I do have the MYSQL database setup with Bluehost. I setup a new database and username once I installed the web-hosted version.

In reply to: Admin Login IssueI will try the emergency reset now, but I am wondering if this is a problem due to something else that I am not understanding because I can’t imagine when I install wordpress and first login the password is accepted, then when I try to log back in and will not work..
I was wondering why when you do a password reset, it will not acknowledge my username: admin that was given to me upon installation?
Because when I follow the “Lost My Password” option it asks for my email address, but when I receive the reset email the only username is a username I setup awhile ago that is just setup for the account not a blog.

In reply to: 5 Minute Install ProblemI just saw another post on here about downloading the “emergency.php” script. I just completed the install and reset the password.
I tried logging in with the admin username and new password and still I cannot log in. I’m wondering how I’m able to sign-in using my old username and password and access the free wordpress edition instead of the web-hosted version I installed yesterday.
I’m wondering if I should use the option in the dashboard to “delete the blog” and then start the 5 Minute Installation all over again??
