I’ve also released the 1.7.9.3. version of File Gallery which should fix the javascript errors in WP3.9, so please try it out.

Although the current version (2.0-beta3) still isn’t “feature-complete”, it should work pretty well with WordPres 3.9 and 4.0.

File Gallery 1.7.9.2. (for WP < 3.9) might receive a patch in the future, but I’m focused on 2.0 at the moment.

Please let me know if you run into any problems, I’ll do my best to push this version to WP repository soon.

Honestly, I must admit I took a bite a bit too big with version 2.0 and ended up rewriting most of the javascript code, but I also got rid of a bunch of redundant PHP code in the process, and the plugin is now even easier to maintain.

@li-an: looks like the jQuery UI CSS files aren’t enqueued by default any more.

I sadly don’t have much time to devote to File Gallery these days, but I certainly won’t leave it to rot, no worries ??

Hey @magaworks – the shortcode option definitely works, but I’ve yet to release a 3.9 compatible version of the plugin.

Right now, with WP 3.9, when you click on a gallery placeholder in the editor, File Gallery does not recognize and cannot modify gallery options.

I hope to be able to release version 1.8, which is fully 3.9 compatible, this weekend.

I’ve tested File Gallery 1.7.9.2. with WordPress 3.8.3 and 3.9 and the “Insert into page” button is there and it works.

Could you send me a link to a screenshot of the problem?

Hey @zedgee: Hmm, I cannot reproduce the problem using File Gallery 1.7.9.2. and WP 3.9. It could be a conflict wit another plugin, I really don’t know.

Which browser and what version of File Gallery are you using?

Sorry Li-An, I’ll fix it in a few days. I’ve got a lot to work on because of changes to 3.9 gallery views within the editor.

@signcarver: the option is named “limit” (which – I now realise – isn’t really intuitive; unless you have experience with, for example, databases. I’ll havr to think about changing the whole concept to something more user-friendly).

so the shortcode should look something like this:

[gallery limit="10" paginate="true"]

@mellegaard: this should be fixed in the latest (1.7.9) version of the plugin. Could you please check if it works OK for you now and let me know?
