@jglefler: can you tell me what is the exact shortcode you’re using for this gallery?

@jglefler: that’s normal WordPress behavior if the image size you chose for the gallery thumbnails is not of exact dimensions (meaning, it’s not getting cropped, just resized).

To illustrate, here’s how three default WP themes, Twenty Twelve, Twenty Thirteen and Twenty Fourteen display a gallery using this shortcode [gallery columns="3" size="medium"] – with no plugins enabled:

If you want your galleries to look uniform, with all thumbnails of same size, you’ll need to choose an appropriate thumbnail size for gallery display.

@jglefler: that shouldn’t happen – could you please post an example of this behavior? I’d really appreciate it, thanks!

Ah, my bad – forgot to updated working version number – fixed! 1.7.9.6 is now the latest available version.

@xavi86: I wish I could, but all I can say is that it happens sometimes ??

(Most likely because all File Gallery settings are saved in one serialized array in the database, and serialized arrays can get corrupted while being saved.)

@vizou: my apologies, WP 4.0 sneaked up on me faster than I anticipated.

I’m working on a completely overhauled version 2.0 of the plugin, which is fully WP 4.0 compatible, but until that one is released, please try the latest update (1.7.9.6) and let me know if it fixes your problem.

@xavi86: sorry, but I can’t reproduce the problem on a clean installation. These notice indicate that your File Gallery settings are most likely missing or got corrupted.

Try going to Settings -> Media, and pressing the “Save Changes” button on the bottom of the page. Does that help?
