In reply to: [Login Dongle] Locked out due to missed install step. My bad. Please help.@esmi, I just answered to @swisstoons on the page you linked, thanks for that.
But that page is not linked to my plugin, it is not listed into my plugin’s support requests, I’m not tagged as the plugin author, and I can’t mark it as solved. Could you look into it or tell me how to fix it?

In reply to: Can't Log In Since Activating Dongle Plugin For Brute Force AttacksThat should mean that my Login Dongle plugin is in effect. All you have to do to be able to login again is to use the bookmarklet with the code that was generated.
If you don’t have the bookmarklet, then you have to disable the plugin so that you can later login as usual. Follow the steps I outlined here.
If you don’t know how to access your blog from a remote file manager, call your hosting provider and ask for help.

In reply to: [Login Dongle] WP for AndroidI can’t reproduce the issue. I’ve just connected to my blog with my own Android phone + WordPress app and it works smoothly.
The only thing to remember for using this type of access is to use the URL provided on the XML-RPC endpoint line in your user profile.

In reply to: [Login Dongle] Locked out due to missed install step. My bad. Please help.So you both correctly understood that when something goes wrong with any WordPress plugin, the best thing to do is to deactivate the plugin. Login Dongle is not an exception. You only have to
- access your blog from any kind of remote file manager, be it by means of an FTP client or o a web interface
- enter the (…)/wp-content/plugins directory
- remove the login-dongle directory
Afterward you can log in again as you used to. Then you can decide if you want to give it another try or not. Hope this helps.

In reply to: [Login Dongle] How to add to more than one computer?Marking this as resolved.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Login Dongle] How to add to more than one computer? That’s easy to do. You only have to check the box Send on next update and then hit the update button at the bottom of the profile page. The code for the bookmarklet will be sent to your email. Then you only have to access your email from each PC and create a bookmarklet with that code as its URL.

In reply to: [Login Dongle] plugin conflicts? It’d be very useful for everybody to know if you were finally able to get it working with your setup. Please add a walkthrough if you can.
Definitely it could be a conflict with Lockdown changing the URL for logging in. In a user profile, if you hit Show more in the line for the Raw Bookmarklet, you will see the URL that is being used by Login Dongle. If that is the same Lockdown uses, then the problem is somewhere else.

In reply to: [Login Dongle] Limit to Admin / Exclude Subscribers?YES. Unfortunately I included no roles support into Login Dongle, but what you want is easily achieved by enabling it only for the selected accounts you want, like admin. A dongle will be honored only if it’s been created for a user…

In reply to: [Login Dongle] [Plugin: Login Dongle] Clever pluginNothing to worry about: That’s how it’s supposed to be. When Login Dongle finds out that the account that is being accessed has a different challenge / response from what comes in from the internet, then it immediately denies access to that account, but it does not stop the login action. That allows other access plugins like Limit Login Attempts to do what they are supposed to, for example record the IP of the failed login.
If after installing Login Dongle you still receive notifications of failed logins, they only mean to you that someone is attacking you automatically (running a program), not that they have any chance to get through. In that case you can go to the plugin that notifies you and tweak its settings so that you get less notifications or none at all.

In reply to: [Login Dongle] Using Login Dongle with MultisiteThanks for researching into this ??
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Login Dongle] [Plugin: Login Dongle] Clever plugin@robnonstop I really don’t know anything about WP Multisite… As for the German translation, you’ll find what you ask for in the translations directory of this plugin.
