  • The last problem resolved. After having replaced the .htaccess-file with the original one the pages can be accessed again. Sorry for the confusion ?? Thought I had already replaced it. The problem with the dashboard remain, though …

Ok, new additional problem. All of the sudden the pages can not be accessed at all. 404 Error. Wonder what is going on?

I have tried most versions of the .htaccess-fix but keep casuing an internat server error which ever way I do it. Could this mean there is simply something with the the settings on the server that don’t allow a modification like this?

Most things do work, of course, but it′s a little frustrating ??

Have the same problem but this does not seem to work for me. If I change the .htaccess-file in the wordpress directory or create a new one in /wp-admin the database breaks down.

The error-message I get in the dashboard goes:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /main/wp-admin/index-extra.php on this server.

    Apache/1.3.33 Server at neurobash.com Port 80

What to do? (other than possibly start a new thread regarding this) Would appreciate any ideas.

Same problem here on one of my four WordPress systems. The problems remains even after the latest upgrade (2.1). I figure it must be something withe the permission given by the webspace admin. Have no trouble at all with the other systems that runs at webspaces provided by other companies.

Does anyone know if there is any convenient way to check this?
