In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Livechat] Future of this pluginHi. I just received your take over request email.
If possible I’d prefer that you create a new extension and reference this one in your readme. I’m more than happy to update this plugin with a note pointing to your new one.

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Livechat] Auto enable for groups ?Do you mean auto-enable for all groups that already exist? The only way to do it would be to manually create the group meta tag in the database (it’s basically something like tag name ‘bp_group_livechat_enabled’ and value ‘1’). It would probably be simpler to just go through the groups as super admin and manually turn it on for them.
If you mean auto enable on group creation then it’d be simply a case of editing the admin create step screen html so that the checkbox is automatically ticked.
I don’t really have time to work on these plugins for stuff like this I’m afraid ??

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Livechat] Hello? Is any one there…I’m glad it’s working for you. Hopefully it won’t break for at least a few more WP/BP updates ??

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Livechat] Hello? Is any one there…Should be working with WP 3.5.1 and BP 1.7.2 now. Can’t promise I’ll be around to take care of it in future though sorry.
I tested it on a fresh install. To be honest I’ve no idea what implications migrating in from the older forums could have – but I would have thought that once you’ve migrated you should be fine.
So you’ve installed 1.2, activated it and then activated the group dice stuff for the group you’re testing with?
edit: I see that you’ve now got it working. Good stuff ??

In reply to: [BuddyPress Group Livechat] Hello? Is any one there…If you’re still interested in this I’ll try and have a look at it next week. I’ve had very little time/inclination to work on BP/WP stuff for a long while but I may be able to scrape a few hours together.

In reply to: BuddyPress Group Dice ProblemsThere’s a new version of the group dice plugin out that should work with the latest wordpress/buddypress versions and the new bbpress-based group forums. All you should need to do is to install and activate the plugin. Hope that helps.
Please don’t take this as a sign that I’ll begin active development again but I updated the plugin to work with the latest wordpress/buddypress/bbpress. Seems fine in my limited testing so hopefully it’ll work for you guys.
I highly doubt it. Lots of the methods for loading plugins and catching form submissions have changed in the later version of WP and BP.
There are other plugins that provide a similar function now. Check out anything by Boone Gorges.
I would recommend that users move to the BP Docs plugin.
I do not have time to develop the plugin further (nor desire to, if I’m honest).
I am more than happy for someone to take over and stick it on Github if they so wish. I only ask that the code stays under AGPL.
Hi there.
When you say within user created groups do you mean for it to be included as part of an activity update?
Having the dice roll with a message is perfectly possible. The reason I didn’t do it this way originally was due to concerns about players being able to edit the content of their messages if the dice roll didn’t go the way they wanted it to.
Both features would be easy to implement if I can get some time to work on the plugin. I’m not sure when I will get time though, I’m afraid :/ I’ll try to fit it in somehow…
Have you followed the installation instructions?
Thanks for pointing this out. I’ll add this to the list of things to fix for the next release.
This is actually a bug in BuddyPress:
Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll have a look at this issue shortly.
