In reply to: Defective in listsIt seems that the only way to remove the plus-sign is to make the list in HTML-block, but this should not be like that. This is obviously an error in the lists-block.

In reply to: Autoupdate to 6.1 by accident? What does “update to major releases” mean? Does it mean that major releases (large updates like 6.1) are installed automatically?

In reply to: Autoupdate to 6.1 by accident?Thank you for the answer. I can see the settings now. Then I am wondering if auto or non-auto is the standard. It seems that autoupdate is the standard for larger updates and I just “forgot” about changing this for one of my sites, or rather I was not aware of it.
So, is autoupdate the standard for larger updates?
Thanks again

In reply to: Problems after upgrading to 6.0Did you figure out which plugin is not compatible? I have tried to find a list of such plugins, but without any luck.

In reply to: Automatic update that should not happenMarius: I run WordPress on four site with very similar configuration. So, why does one update automatic, but the others three do not. In other words, I have not configured the update one way or the other.
We should not require a plugin to configure update, this should be in the core. Another thing that is missing from WordPress is the possibility to go back to previous version. Maybe you have a different opinion?
Fortunately for me, the site that did update automatically, did not experience any error. Others, from WP-forum, were not that lucky.

In reply to: Automatic update that should not happenI forgot to mention that the update is of course WordPress 6.0

In reply to: Duplicate / Clone a Post / Pagealexcumbers: if you mark the content of a post and copy and paste it into another post the formatting is preserved. In other words, this is actually built into the system. You just dont see it until you try it.

In reply to: Duplicate / Clone a Post / PageI do this all the time, I frequently publish an updated version of an old post, but I do not need a plugin for this. I just copy the text from the old post to a new post, I have to make a new post for this, but I have no problem with that. The structure of the post is preserved. Works perfectly for me.

In reply to: Useless new featuresThanks Steven, it was Yoast SEO, what a releaf.
I still think the post-section could be more flexible in the core. I am surprised how rigit it is after all these years.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Optimizing databaseI guess the values for % Of are the ones that I should be looking at, but what does N/A mean? Does it mean that the plugin has not calculated the value or does it mean that this part of WordPress does not need to be sweeped?
If it is the latter, it is strange because I have N/A for my database. So the database that has not been optimized for 7 years is already optimized. Does that make sense? Does the database auto-optimize? What’s going on?

In reply to: Optimizing databaseThanks again for the useful information. I have now installed the plugin and am learning about it before I start optimizing my database.
The positive about this plugin is that I can choose what I sweep.
What I miss is basic practical information about the plugin and how to use it, especially for users that are new to this. I was surprise by the lack of basic practical facts – I had to use Google to find good information about the plugin.
What guide can you reccomend for WP-Sweep?
Thank you

In reply to: Optimizing databaseThanks for the answers sofar. It seems that using a plugin might be the best choice because it does the job more or less for you.
Is WP-Sweep the beste choice? I have seen the reviews and most of the reviews say it is excellent while a few (2 of 100) say this plugin ruin their sites.
I will of cource take backup first, but what is your take on plugins for this job? What is your choice? Which plugin would you use?
I have only deactivated the plugin, not deleted it. I have had no trouble since. It never occured to me that deleting it might upset the database. Anyone have that experience?
It seems that some users are having nothing but trouble and it seems that this plugin is effected by a certain amount of posts. Unfortunately there is no support here. It seems that the developers dont read this forum.
It just occured to me that you might have to deactive the plugin, then delete the plugin and install a fresh new version of WP Statistics. In my case, I am not willing to take the risk. How about other users? What is your experience?
