In reply to: Best WYSIWYG editor (probably asked before, but didn’t become any wiser)I have found nothing better than the WYSI editor by Mudbomb, https://mudbomb.com/archives/2005/02/02/wysiwyg-plugin-for-wordpress/ .
It makes working with images and formating very easy. It supports resizing, making of thumbnails, and several other useful image options. Text formating is done easily in a MS Word type of editor. It has support for thesaurus, dictionary, and encyclopedia.I’ve been using it for over a year and couldn’t be happier. I currently use it with WP 2.1 and it works perfectly.

In reply to: Funkybird! Your oppinion? It looks very nice but I agree with post above. Smaller screens would be an issue. To load the main page is also over 2 mb. Doesn’t matter to me who has 100 mbit connection ans a large screen but if you’re on DSL, like many people are, it will load kind of slowly.

In reply to: Most trouble free editor with good support for tables? (wysiwyg capable)I’m not sure I understand exactly hat you’re looking for but the best WYSIWYG editor I’ve found for WP is by Mudbomb (https://mudbomb.com/archives/2005/02/02/wysiwyg-plugin-for-wordpress/ )
Offers all kinds of formatting options and image options, including thumbnails. I don’t know what you’re looking for in tables but perhaps you can take a look at it. It saves me an incredible amount of time and has worked flawlessly since I first started using it.

In reply to: Simple Image popup pluginI use lots of photos on my blog and the best plugin I’ve found is Mudbomb’s WYSI, https://mudbomb.com/archives/2005/02/02/wysiwyg-plugin-for-wordpress/ . It supports making of thumbnails, is extremely easy to use, and can also be used with another Java plugin by m3nt0r to display the images beautifully (https://www.m3nt0r.de/blog/lightbox-wordpress-plugin/) It’s all very easy to install and there is virtually no configuration needed. You can take a look at it on the site above and I’m also using it on my site, https://www.AdventureDad.com
Good luck

In reply to: Which is the best WYSIWYG editor?I’ve been using Mudbomb’s (www.mudbomb.com) WYSI editor for almost a year and I’ve found nothing that comes remotely close. I think the WP 2 editor is horrible and it’s not enough for my needs. I don’t want to do lots of coding in my posts and Mudbomb’s editor saves me tons of time. It uses iimage-browser for all images which is perfect for me. I can do thumbnails with many differnt options, resize/resample, wrap text, and do everything I need in seconds. Html editing of text is very easy and I don’t miss any functions. It’s very easy to install and Mudbomb is helpful when it comes to support.
I’m not sure if this might be something for you but I think it’s the best WYSI editor out there.

In reply to: Links from “Connections”I don’t know if there is a question in there somewhere but I assume you want “About” to direct readers to the correct page? You need to edit one of your theme pages, most likely the “Header” page and simply input the page id where you see the “#” sign. The page id can be found in your administration section , most likely under “pages”.

In reply to: Please Recommend Hosting SolutionI can really recommend Hostgator. I’ve been using them for almost a year with two sites and everything has been great. I’ve occasionally had questions about support for various WP plugins and I’ve then simply used the chat function on their page. Always got quick and correct respsonses. Install with WP is very easy and their plans offer more than most people will ever need. They are affordable but there are cheaper competitors. Personally I rather pay a few bucks extra a month and have a solution that works.
Best of luck with whatever you choose

In reply to: WP 2.0.1 suddenly running extremely slowI’ve toggled every single plugin on my site on and off and it looks like Shortstat is the problem. This plugin has been working flawlessly without changes since I installed it but now seems to be the problem. I’ll continue to search my site for additional problems but in case someone else is having similar issues I recommend disabling Shortstat and see what happens.

In reply to: tiny-mceI would recommend that you install the WYSI editor by Mudbomb, https://mudbomb.com/archives/2005/02/02/wysiwyg-plugin-for-wordpress/
It’s by far the best editor I’ve found and it has many functions that the original editor lacks. Thumbnails, resize, resample, and extra text editing features are some of my favorites.
Good luck

In reply to: Content forced below sidebar in IE Browser…I’m sorry but your site still looks fine for me in both FF and IE. I explored some of your site, went to some different categories and articles but had no issues with conent below sidebar. I’m using IE 6.

In reply to: Nerfbat.comNice design. I would prefer if the title of the site stood out more. Maybe different/larger fonts or different placement.

In reply to: Granada Gazette designI like it. Easy on the eyes and pretty basic design. But I think the menu on top looks a bit too “simple”. Other font or buttons would look better IMHO.

In reply to: Best Image PluginI use the amazing image plugin from Mudbomb. I used it with WP 1.5 and I’m now using the upgraded version with WP 2.0. I’ve tried a few and think it’s by far the best one. It’s like working with a normal wordprocessor which saves me lots of time.
Give it a try, you can find it here, https://mudbomb.com/archives/2005/02/02/wysiwyg-plugin-for-wordpress/
