Hi there. I just added a plugin called ‘featured image in content’ not 2 minutes ago. It did work. Is the plugin necessary? All I could find on the forum was a code for a child theme I do not have. Do you have a proper solution? I’d rather not have extra plugins.

Yes and no.
I discovered I must use ‘front page’ setting for widgets to display on front page such as the Sela demo. Or use footer widget. I prefer the look of ‘full width’ page therefore I must use footer widgets. Though, it would be nice to have the other.
