I’ve since found a solution to my problem and which I posted the solution on another thread.
I was using 3.0.5 at the time, I haven’t updated to 3.1 just yet.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: adding www to domain nameI’m also reading that I have to change the .htaccess file somewhere or search engines will see both www and non-www as two different sites?
Thanks a ton.

In reply to: adding www to domain nameHi James, I was about to follow the steps you laid out in the above posts, but see two options to change my URL.
One is WordPress address and the other Site Address. Do I change both?
Site Address has this note next to it, “Enter the address here if you want your site homepage to be different from the directory you”.
Right now my site is without “www”, I simply want to add that.
Thanks

In reply to: Broken Images (Suddenly) After Plugin InstallJust in case anyone runs into the same problem. If you are using Headway or utilize the timthumb script to generate thumbnails on your blog, AND you are with Hostgator, then the problem could be with Hostgator.
Headway support suggested I check with Hostgator about support for timthumb on my server. They fixed it in about 15 minutes and everything is working now.
Hope this helps someone.

In reply to: Activated Widgets Missing From Widgets PageSo apparently Headway comes with a default Twitter plugin that I had to disable in order to get it to work.
I seem to have figured out my problem. But it might be specific to me. If you have the above symptoms where:
1. You can’t see the Wickett Twitter Widget in the ‘Available Widgets’ section, but you see a widget named “Twitter”…
2. Wickett Twitter Widget is activated, and you drag the widget named “Twitter” into the sidebar but you can’t save the information then you may want to give this solution a try.
I made a blog post about it to help others since I couldn’t find ANYTHING on this specific problem.
How to Disable WordPress Theme Plugins and Widgets
Hope this helps.
Just FYI, I’m using the Headway theme, and it comes with a default Twitter plugin that I had to disable in order to get it to work.

In reply to: Activated Widgets Missing From Widgets PageTwitter widget came with your theme, then it sounds like you’re experiencing the latter.
So would it be safe to assume that disabling this default Twitter widget somehow may solve my problem? If so, could you share how? It doesn’t appear in the Plugins page for me to deactivate, nor is it in the plugins folder within wp-content/plugins directory.

In reply to: Activated Widgets Missing From Widgets PageThanks esmi.
I tried deactivating all plugins. Then activating only one of the plugins that weren’t showing up in the widget section. Nothing showed up. I figured that if it was going to work, it would work when it’s the only widget activated. This led me to the following.
I noticed that I do have a default “Twitter” widget in the ‘available widgets’ section. I’m not sure if this came with WP or with my theme, but when Wickett Twitter Widget is activated and I drag the widget labelled “Twitter” to the sidebar it won’t save the fields it asks me to fill out. But when I deactivate Wickett I can now save the information for the default Twitter widget. It sound like there is some sort of conflict between the two.
Q: Does switching themes erase any customization I’ve done? I’d hate to have to redo hours of customizing.
Thanks
I’m having the same exact problem. This is also happening with Twitter Widget Pro. Have either of you had any success with getting them to show up?
