    Hello everyone,
    Sorry for my late reply.
I have solved my problem, thanks to Esmi who had been very helpful.
‘Your hosts may be blocking the timthumb.php script. Try asking them about it.’

I’ve asked my host about it & they’ve installed suphp on my server & everything work just fine. Some hosts blocked the script I mentioned above for security reason.

Again thanks to Esmi for the infos.

    Hi alchymyth,

I’m facing a similar problem too. The images are not showing on my homepage. https://https://perfectcheaptravel.com

And 1 more thing. Should this be the cause of the problem:

    A TimThumb error has occured
    The following error(s) occured:

Could not open the lockfile for writing an image.

    Query String : src=https://perfectcheaptravel.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/sanfran2.jpg&h=290&w=400&zc=1
    TimThumb version : 2.8

If I go to the appearance, editor, under the text area I see this:

You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.

    Could you please help.
    Thanks in advance.

Hi, I’m facing similar problem with my homepage too. (https://perfectcheaptravel.com/).

    jnhghy,

Hi, is your site localhosted? This looks like a permission issue if you go to Dashboard -> appearance -> editor: Under the text area you usually have update file, can you see that? or do you have a codex reference?
    Regards

When I go to appearance, editor, below the text area I can see:

You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.

Is this what you meant by codex reference?
Could this be the problem that my images are not showing?

I’m new with wordpress & really need immediate solution for this.

Thanks in advance for any help

Yes, I do have access to the database. What do I need to do from there?

In profile I don’t see any info’s showing that I’m a user / subscriber. The only admin word I see is on the admin color scheme. But there’s a new notification on top saying : WordPress 3.3.2 is available! Please notify the site administrator.
Am I logging in as subscriber? if yes, how do I change it to admin?
    Please help.

    Thanks.

First of all, How can I know If I logged in as user / administrator?

After I login through https://www.answers4smbizsuccess.com/wp-admin, insert username & password, I will straight away go to “profile”.
There are only 2 buttons on the left side of my dashboard 1. Dashboard 2. Profile.
If I click on the “dashboard” button, I will only see WordPress Blog & Other WordPress News.
When I click on the “Screen option” button, there’s only 2 options under the show on screen: wordpress blog & other wordpress news.

    Pls help

    Thanks.
