    Yes it does work as above with javascript:void(0); I did not know how custom link worked. I thought it referred to Menu item already defined so defined another one with same name and that is why I had the problem. Once I defined my menu item with custom link instead of without it, I could make the top menu name go no where when clicked. Makes sense now that I understand how custom link menu works to direct that menu item to a page you chose instead of the page with the same name.

    Thanks Clarion Technologies.

    That is what I did, however you had better backup you data regularly which is still not clear which files on your PC you can backup. So I’ve copied all files to external hard drive and also downloaded WP Plugin just in case it happens again.
