however, i would like to tell everybody using wordpress/woocommerce/virtue in designing their website not to ever tamper with function.php in their website. The agony of doing so may be too much to bear.
HOW TO RECTIFY THE FAULT
but if it happens, the first thing to do is to go to your server to change the name of the theme at wp-content/theme. change the name of the theme to anything that you can understand. e.g theme111. this will give you opportunity to access your admin page (your wp backend). Then, download new woocommerce plugins and look for wc-admin-function (PHP). DOWNLOAD the theme you change its name and then create another folder with the name: themes
re-upload the wc-admin-functions.php but first delete (wc) to remain admin-function.php and upload to your server. Then re-inserted/upload virtue theme into your website. this may solve the problem.

please I can’t figure out this problem yet. i need your assistance because i can’t upload a theme unto my site yet. I only have access to back-end and no theme is allowed to be inserted yet. PLEASE HELP

OOps please i have some little challenges now and I would appreciate if you can bail me out. After renaming the the theme folder to theme111 the site came back then I deactivated the the woocommerce and reinstall but when I want to reinstall the theme back , I saw “theme install failed” . please my question is can I delete the theme i changed in my server before reinstalling another theme or what is the next step. Thank you

Thanks for your prompt response but yet the problem is not yet resolved after downloading the functions.php and uploading it to my server. thanks
